Guest guest
Re: Doc Band vs. Star Band Hi Debbie, I'm in Monroe, MI in the southeastern portion of the state, south of Detroit. I'm actually closer to Toledo, OH than Detroit though. Chicago is also the closest Cranial Tech center near me, but there is an agency called Straight Ahead Pediatric Physical Therapy in Mayfield, OH that is liciensed provider of the Doc Band. Mayfield is near Cleveland and I think only about 2 hours from me. That sounds much better to me than Chicago. I can't believe that you made the drive to Chicago. You had to go weekly when Abby first got her band on, right? I would too though if I had to, there really isn't anything we won't do for our children is there? I thought I read on this board that the physical therapists who are liciensed providers of the Doc Band go through the same training as the therpists that work at the actual Cranial Tech locations. Do you know if that is correct? We could get a starband in Toledo which is only 30 minutes from us. But, after I looked at the side by side comparison on the plagio.org site I think I want to go with the Doc Band, even if it means a longer drive. I was leaning that way then after hearing your story about using the Star Band with no results I finalized my decision. Take Care, Hi :Where abouts in MI do you live? I am also in MI, the Grand Rapids area. My daughter used both the STARband and then we switched her to the DOCband after she spent 3 mos w/o any improvement in her STARband we rec'd from our local hospital. My drive to the Chicago CT was usually 4 hrs one way with traffic, 3 hrs w/o traffic (yeah right, w/o traffic in Chicago?). So I'm wondering if you're considering the Chicago CT then you might be close to me.
