Great!! I printed that out for daycare as well- especially for the holds- I didn't have them stretch him. I got my greatest stretching in while was conked out- not all Moms and Dads had luck with this as they had light sleepers- but this is where we did best. Even at the diaper table, encourage to look at you with the side he has trouble- get something interesting that will encourage him to look there. Every little bit helps- whether he is doing it himself- or you are physically stretching him. Getting him to look the way he does not want to is great therapy- and repeated over time- with complimentary therapy from you- will surely help! If it takes losing your cool, and your gut is telling you something- go with it. Ask your ped to check into the tort- and ask for a referall to pt asap!! Demand action! (I know this is overwhelming, but I speak from experience, you will get through and with hard work and determination, will be just fine!).

My ped was on the ball with the tort- but very passive about his facial asymmetry and banding. I had to make this decision- against her advice- and just called (after a private eval. from CT that confirmed he had moderate plagio-although they told me to reposition for a month to exhaust that route....he was almost 5 months when I had him banded) for the referall. Now, his ped is just all over his round head with comments and kudos that it was the best idea (guilt or hindsight?). I am so glad this group was filled with experience because it really prompted me to take matters into my own hands- and I have not regretted it once- only felt great about it maybe 100 times! What I have learned most from this experienced group of parents is that Doctors are not always right, sometimes they are guided by egotistical ignorance, rather than to admit defeat and limited knowledge...some would rather dismiss it than look foolish for not having the answers. I have learned that usually, as Marci says, a mother's gut instinct is rarely ever wrong- go with yours and fight the good fight if that's what's called for- time is of the essence! Good luck!

Thank you

so much for the stretching exercise information. I’ve printed it out and will hang it right by his crib so I

will keep on track with the stretching.

We haven’t heard about the CT scan results nor the referral to the

physical therapist. Hopefully,

today. If things don’t start

progressing, I may lose my cool!!
