Guest guest
- then I would either talk to your doctor and find something that is manageable for you or don't talk to him/her and just find something manageable on your own. What ever *it* is, it is not worth hating it and crying and being miserable, depressed and stressed. Especially with your fragile condition at times hon. You were doing so well with what the diabetic clinic taught you before. Can you get back on that program? Will they see you to go over everything again, or is it a $ issue? I am praying for you and your state of mind, I know how hard this is for you. Hugs,
Guest guest
, I've heard that the South Beach Diet phase one is like the Atkins Diet. You can get Atkins selctions at TGI Friday's restaurant. Also, Cracker Barrell has low carb offerings. I hope that one of these is near you. I'm sorry you are sad. I've had frustrating days too. We are eating out tonight as we do every friday night. I wont be able to stay on my plan. I wish you the best. Blessings, I'm Crying Hi there friends, It is hard for me to see the computer screen right now, because I am crying a little. I don't want to do the South Beach diet. I have done it only two days and I really don't like it. I need to cook dinner tonight, but I don't feel good and don't want to cook. This is one of those days when I really need to eat out, but where can I eat that would be okay for this stupid South Beach diet? I am so tired and don't feel good. I don’t know if it is due to the new meds or if it has to do with this diet that I don't feel good, or if it has to do with both. I just know I am crying and I don't like the way I feel and I hate this diet. I feel like I have to do this diet because that is what the doctor told me to do, but I hate it. I absolutely hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just needed to let some one know what is going on, and I think of you all as friends, and hope it is okay that I vent with you all and let you all know how I truly feel. from MO. Guest guest
Hi , I am not totally sure what to say (at least that will make you feel better). On the eating out side I googled and found an article which may help on dining out. I can understand hating the diet (especially phase 1 which is ultra restrictive). Maybe you could just start with phase 2 and go from there. I would give you a hug if I could (so I guess this is a cyber hug). You may need to talk with your doctor about other programs that would fit your life and tastes better
Guest guest
You can eat out any where that you can get a grilled chicken breast and a side of veggies. Chill woman. You are taking this much too hard. South Beach is ok. It's just healthy eating. Maybe try Sugar Busters if South Beach seems overwhelming. It's just as healthy. Your doctor isn't your god. You can tailor your program to suit your needs. You might ditch that first part of South Beach and go straight to the more reasonable part. You are diabetic so you need to eat fairly low carb whether you choose to call it South Beach, Sugar Busters, GI Diet, Diabetic diet, etc. Ann

I haven't read it but the title catches my attention. Anyone else read it?
Guest guest
Hi , I am going to go back on the diabetic way of eating that the diabetic clinic taught me. I don't need to go in to see them (I don't think.) I know how to do it. I just need to just do it. I still have the material they gave me. It might be nice and a help to go back to see them at least one time, but don't know if I can do that Medicare was paying for it and I don't know if they will pay for any more. They have only so many hours you can spend. I might give them a call on Monday and see what they say though. It might help to get the ball rolling again so to speak. Thanks for the prayers. I really could use them. I really want to learn how to relax. I am so stressed all the time. I am thinking about going to the library and checking out some of Joice Myers (Sp?) books. I think she has some Christian books on how do deal with stress, but I am not sure. I don't go the the library alone so I don't know when I would go is working both today and tomorrow. I guess if I have time before I go to pick him up I could try and go alone. Just not wanting to push myself right now. Too stressed out to do much of anything at all. from MO.You were doing so well with what the diabetic clinic taught you before. Can you get back on that program?
