So that is why I am so weepy right now. I know I can do the diabetic clinics way of eating. I have done it before. It is just getting back on it and sticking to it that will be a little hard, but I know if I really try I can do it. It is mainly measuring things, and exercising. I can do that. .... and if you throw in TOM or PMS that is a double whammy too - eek! I am glad mom talked you down, hon.... glad you could still vent with us and are feeling "better" about things. Sit down and make your plan, shop and get ready. Tomorrow's a new day. You CAN do it!
Guest guest
Could you give a website to see what you can eat on this? Thanks Randi We agreed that when I was following the diabetic way of eating that the diabetic clinic taught me I was losing weight, my blood sugar was under control. We both agreed that it is important for me to get back on that way of eating. I

Guest guest
My mother just left on a short weekend vacation. She just got back from a different week long one. Well, any way, she left this morning. I talked to her on the phone last night and she said that when she gets back, maybe later in the week, she wants me to show her how to do the diabetic diet that I lost weight on. I have some papers that I am going to copy for her. I lost weight on it and she is thinking that maybe (even though she isn't diabetic) she could lose weight on it too. She thought it would help me if some one was doing it with me. I think it really will. from MO.
Guest guest
I don't know of a website. I went to the diabetic clinic here in town and they taught me how to eat. It is mainly eating between 40 to 60 carbs per meal. Closer to 40 if you want to lose weight. Eating three meals a day, and then a snack in the evening of only 15 carbs or less. I have some papers that they gave me that told me different foods and what servings they were 15 carbs is one serving. Like for an example 1 slice of bread is one serving. 1/2 cup of peas (I think I would have to look it up again) is one serving. You get 3 to 4 servings of carbs per meal. Trying to stay close to 3 servings to lose the weight. Something like that. Also things like milk you need to try and stay closer to the lowest amount of fat. Stuff like that. from MO. Guest guest
I went to a diabetes clinic here in Tennessee and they had me on a similar program. I was allowed 2 servings of carbs for breakfast, 3 servings for lunch and 4 servings for dinner. I am on a new diabetes medicine called Byetta. Have you heard about it? It is helping me control my appetite so I can lose weight. My Bgs are under good control now. Maybe you could discuss it with your MD. Blessings, Re: Doing a little better Could you give a website to see what you can eat on this? Guest guest
, Im so glad your mother is going to try and lose weight with you again. I feel you can really use the support. Things just seem to be easier when you have someone there going though it with you. My mother just left on a short weekend vacation. She just got back from a different week long one.
