Thisis the worst I've gained in just this year alone. Now my legs swell reallybad. Hi Randi - I am not sure - I guess if you are not exercising at all and totally going overboard on eating and calories in that it is possible to gain 50+ lbs in a year.... the legs swelling thing doesn't sound good though, have you talked with your doctor? Time to get back on board - start by adding a glass of water a day, journaling and starting to "watch" your portions. If you are able to do some small amount of exercise, I would recommend it. If you can't do a lot of movement due to physical limitations - there is a PBS program called sit and be fit.... she is pretty good from what I have seen. As an active 12 year old coming off a 2-year diet of 1000 cal a day I once gained 50 pounds in one *month* eating 1200 cal/day. It's *very* easy to gain that much in a year's time. > Now my legs swell really bad. But this fact tells you your gain isn't all fat but water weight. You should see your doctor ASAP to get this evaluated. It an be circulation, heart problems, or something else causing swelling of the legs.
