Guest guest
, It seems that everything is pretty messed up, but I think you will be able to get through this with a little perserverence and time. It seems to me that they are going to pay an out-of-network percentage because you are not using their in-network orthotist and product. That is pretty common and not at all unusual for insurance companies. They are contracted with certain doctors who will give them a price break - doctors who they are not contracted with will not give them a price break. That is why they make you pay more of a percentage for out-of -network doctors. The fact that everything is messed up right now seems to be a combination of CT and the insurance companies fault. Make sure you document carefully every call you make with date, name, and a summary of the conversation. If you cannot get a successful resolution soon then you could consider filing a complaint against your insurance company with your State Insurance Department. Good luck and I sure can understand your frustration! Hang in there though - it seems that you are going to get the band partially paid for.
