Guest guest
Dana, I will be graduating in May and will be working in Child Protection (social work). Kim s Re: "Neglect" vent This is a topic that is close to my heart. I am a social worker, currently working in child protection. It really ticks me off that people are so ignorant that they would automatically assume that because a baby has a flat spot..they are neglected. It is true that some children who are neglected have flat heads (b/c of extended periods of time left alone in their cribs) HOWEVER there are usually more serious (and often life-threatening) indicators of abuse/neglect present in these homes. Well, you're not going to believe this, but> several messages down people started saying that babies got flat heads> because they were NEGLECTED. Can you BELIEVE that?
