Guest guest
Dana, It is quite common for a plagio baby to see a craniofacial specialist. Of course, not all craniofacial specialists work with babies or plagio. You would have to call and see what kind of experience the dr has with babies and plagio and also which ortho he/she works with and what product that ortho uses. Maybe you could post the doctor's name and see if anyone here has any information about him. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Dana: Many parents have used craniofacial surgeons for a diagnosis! The doctors listed on that search engine are all plagio-friendly. Hope that helps! Kendra Re: Dana - Charlotte I used the search and there was only one other dotor that was listed that wasn't in Charlotte. He's in Chapel Hill, which is closer, but he is listed as a craniofacial surgeon. Does that mean that is all they deal with, or do those doctors deal with plagio as well? I wish I was more informative. I guess I probably would have to contact them directly to find out. Thanks for the info!Dana & Jenna > Here is a link hat could help you find some preferred DR's that might be > close to you-or try calling the closest DOC clinic and see if they have any > suggestions on who you can call Click here: Find a Preferred Physician: > Search by Location also if you're having to drive 6 hours try contacting > angel flgiht/air care alliance and inquire about free flights- can be much > quicker and is free. Guest guest
Hey Dana-if he is listed on the site then more than likely another parent used them for a consult regarding their child's plagio. I saw a pediatric neurosurgeon and a cranial facial specialist when having evaluated-you can see either of them and as long as they're educated in plagio they can lead you in the right direction. This one must be since he is listed on the board -- so that is good. He may even be able to give you other alternatives that are more accessible for you. Try giving them a call and see when they can fit you in-2 consults can't hurt. No question is ever dumb so don't worry about that at all- I never even heard the term cranial facial specialist until I came to this board. Let us know how it goes! beck
