Mine has become one of my best friends. I so feel for you. If yours has

done the famous final spin, look into one that has a sanitary cycle.

Mine heats the water to 170 degrees. Using Dr Bonners peppermint soap,

borax, arm and hammer washing soda, and a few drops of Logols solution

in every load helps me from having clothing issues.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. The poor thing is almost 15

years old, I'm amazed it lasted this long.

When ours dies from the constant washing, I think we'll get this:

Stainless platinum Samsung 4.5 cu. ft. Deep Steam VRTâ„¢ Washer

(from Sears).

It is pricey but has an internal water heater to get to 150 degrees,

plus the nano silver anti-bacterial technology that might be very

interesting to match up against these things!
