Had the same problem, Bessie. No idea why. My solution was to put the

messages link on my desktop (create a shortcut) & just use that to get

here. No trouble since with the out-of-whack mishmosh.

This is the messages link:

bird mites/messages

Click that, which opens it in a new window. Right click anywhere on

that page, which brings up a menu. Select click " create shortcut "

which brings up a box asking if you want to place a shortcut on your

desktop. Click yes. Now you'll have a little picture icon on your

desktop (your computer screen when you don't have anything else

you're looking at - the same screen you see when you start up your

computer) that says " bird mites messages " . That's your shortcut &

brings you to the messages here any time you click it.

I subcribe to the digests, and when I get one, I click " visit your

group " . Now, when I get there, the list has messages that are out of

order. Today I got one with a message from Nov 3. In the list format,

the message is on the left, the author on the right.

Most of the authors were wrong, ie, the person listed was not the one

who wrote the message, once you open it.

Anybody know what's up??? Mites in my hard drive???

If you want to place a shortcut on your desktop that jumps to an

active hyperlink you can right click, do that, and on the popup menu,

select Send to, desktop.

Couple fewer steps. Thx for the idea.
