Guest guest
Estrella, I totally understand the pressures of being a working mom. I work an 8 hour day Monday through Friday and sometimes I feel guilty about not seeing her more then I do. Unfortunately my husband and I don't have any other options. We both must work to make ends meet. The worst is when she is sick. I'm torn between staying with her or getting my mom to look after her. If I don't stay with her then I feel worried and anxious all day. Hang in there - it will get better. The only good thing about bad days is that they pass and hopefully the next day is better. Let us know how things are going today. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Estrella, I can totally relate to being torn between work and your child. I have a full-time job and have to take to daycare (grandma works too!)......I get the tears and the fit every morning when I leave and I have such a burden of guilt that I stay about 10 minutes to get him comfortable, play with toys, and then try to make a quick getaway, but he gets me everytime (and of course I'm late for work EVERYDAY!). It's especially hard when they are sick. Hang in there, just keep in mind that even through the bad days, someone out there is having a tougher time that day than you probably are! Guest guest
Hi Estrella so glad that this group can be a source of support and outlet for you. Bad days suck-that is for sure. A day out of the helmet is not going to hurt anything so don't let that bring you down. I hope that they can solve the problem with a quick adjustment and things will get moving once again. It is such a bad time of year for illness and it seems everything is going around-wait the day out if your Mom gets worse then go but it is Friday and the week and day are almost over so stick it out sing thank God its Friday in your head beat that pretend drum and the day will be over before you know it and tomorrow will bebigger and brighter. Keep your chin up-your a great Mom! Beck
Guest guest
Estrella: Sorry you're having such a rotten day. We've all had them & we all get thru them......it probably does seem like the worst day of your life but tomorrow is just around the corner . I hope gets better with his band. Be sure you let us know how the appt goes with the orthotist. It is very frustrating - I know. You'll get thru it just fine. Guest guest
Hi, Marci: Thank you very much for your encouraging words. The best of this group is the way I feel I'm not alone with my little daily problems. Some days are terrible, even when is friday! is having some trouble with his doc band because it injures him in the right side of his head. We went last friday to the specialist but he said it was completely normal. My dear son is suffering and I wonder if there any trick for making things easier for him... You mention it is injuring the right side of his head, is it leaving a bad red spot that won't go away w/i one hour? Or digging into his skin? Is it making cry becuz of any type of pain? I am sure Cranial Tech would make any adjustment that needed to be done if it was hurting him at all. I hope things are going better by now. Let us know.
