Yes... don't throw these items away. They are too precious.

I had several quilts that my gg grandmother made and several

other " fabric " antique family heirlooms that I was NOT going to part

with. I would have lived with this for the rest of my life before I

would have gotten rid of these items.

All I did was to buy the XL zip loc bags, put mothballs in them and

put the quilts in there. After 9 months in storage, I opened them up,

and there were no mites. There was no biting, no crawling, no

swarming, no nothing. BUT the quilts smell like mothballs. It will

take time for them to air out, but they will be fine in the end.

Just adjust the size of the zip loc according to the size of the

article that you want to store. When you put the mothballs in...

(Don't be skimpy with them! ;)...) and after you place the item in

the baggie... " squash " it till you get most of the air out of it,

then zip it up quickly. Then wait for 9 months or more before

opening. They should be fine!

I hope this helps. As it worked for me...

Hoping you both had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hugs,

Trly

They are beautiful. One she embroidered ever inch of the quilt. I

don't know what to do with them either. I have then in a large tote

and it is taped shut. My mother died 2 years ago and they are

precious to me. Rita
