Guest guest
note on coconut oil: If you are using Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint in your bath, avoid coconut oil. Reason: combining these will burn the skin. I learned this painfully one morning when, after a shower with ECP, I used some coconut oil. By the time I was dressed, my skin was feeling a bit warm, but when I reached the main highway, turning around and going home to wash off the coconut oil was not an option. I threw out the coconut oil. After that I tried every other kind of food, carrier, nut, and essential lotion, cream, and si I could find (that wsa pricey)... And then one day, my goddaughter asked gefme get her some Pink Oil, I read the ingredients, and the rest is, I feel self-conscious saying it, history. katiejill
Guest guest
PINK OIL (get the regular, not the light) (remember to delete the spaces) http ://www.sallybeauty. com/pink-oil/SBS-591510,default,pd.html This is an ethnic hair product available locally at most drug stores and at Walmart and Sally's Beauty (online at Sally's also). It is most economical by the quart, which I recommend. I learned about it from my beloved brown-skinned goddaughter. Pink Oil contains lanolin, petrolatum, and beeswax, and it is the first thing my critters ever couldn't swim in (like they can in most lotions without wax and petrolatum) or punch through and out of (like they can with heavy creams like Eucerin). Pink Oil works like quicksand. It slows movement considerably. BODY LOTION I mix 3 qts Pink Oil in a plastic pitcher with the Legacy Herbs (my favorite) herbal insect repellent (IR) and some Agrilabs Foot and Hoof Rot spray (F & HRS; a cheap source of benzalchonium chloride). I used this mixture as a body lotion and scalp treatment for many years until I found some things to experiment with at bird mites, I really credit this killer combo with preventing the horrid lesions others have suffered. When I don't use it, my body starts right in doing what others' bodies do: develop deep, obvious lesions. CLOTHES SPRAY I mix the two latter ingredients with water and mist my clothing with it. This reduces opportunistic bites by critters that fall from my face or neck or scalp. Without it, everyone that falls out/off me bites the h___ out of me. katiejill > > note on coconut oil: > > If you are using Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint in your bath, avoid > coconut oil.
