Guest guest
Hmmm... this is interesting. I too have noticed more crawling, especially on my face after starting to use ESP. And it is during this time that I've noticed that ppl around me start to scratch - this might have been happening before but I notice now b/c I feel the crawlies on my face the same time, which makes me think it's me. I've been using ESP for 3 weeks now. I only bought the soap but Trish threw in some sample balm so I've used the balm on occasions but not regularly. Soap I use everyday whether just doing the 5 min lathering or masquing after a bath. The the mixed message I'm getting from you is how you got the crawling to stop. Are you saying ESP eventually got rid of your crawlies but took 4 weeks for you? Or are you saying the lime juice bath is what did it? kihun > > My skin got considerably worse when I started using the esp botanicals > (soap and balm), and now it has gotten better. Whatever is in the skin will come up as the skin cells slough and turnover. Healing will occur from the inside out. The last part of the skin to look good is the part everyone can see. And scarring. OMGosh, I have some white hypopigmented scars that are actually getting normal skin color back! I thought I would be walking around like a polka dotted person for the rest of my younger mid life. Guest guest
Kihun -- Sorry about the mixed message -- I am generally confused in dealing with this stubborn bug problem. I believe the esp soap is causing the bugs in my skin to come to the surface, and that's why I'm feeling some crawling. My skin was already about 95% clear when I started to use the esp soap & balm, so I'm not getting a large amount of crawling, but it's noticeable and somewhat gross. I've been doing the soap masque, and leaving it on for 12-24 hours, depending on how much time and energy I have to rinse it off and start over. Lately, the soap has been starting to irritate my skin, so I'm using the balm more often. I find the balm very soothing to my skin. I am not very regimented about my soap and balm schedule because I am oftentimes busy with work and other things. In addition to using the soap and balm, I've taken a few of those baths with 1 cup epsom salt, 1/4 cup borax, and 1/4 cup baking soda. The baths make my skin itch quite a bit, and I hope it's a sign that stuff is coming to the surface of the skin and irritating it. I also bathe in apple cider vinegar (ACV) sometimes, which is refreshing. I put about 2 quarts (that's half a gallon) of ACV in the bath water and soak in it for 20-25 minutes. On Thanksgiving Day, I had some extra time, so I squeezed about 25 limes which yielded 2 quarts of juice, and I put that in the bath along with some of the rinds, so I would get lime oil in the bath (I got this idea from dammit girl or frito who were writing about lemon juice/lemonade). Of all the things I've done, this lime juice bath was the bomb! My skin is still feeling pretty clear, although not 100% clear. When I was soaking in the lime juice bath, my skin itched like HELL. I had a rough nylon wash rag, and kept rubbing my skin until it stopped itching, which took about 25 minutes. By the way, I wash my hair before I take my baths, and then keep my head under water so my scalp gets the benefit of the bath as well. If I have time to take a bath in the morning, I will rub the esp soap into my scalp the night before, and sleep with a shower cap on, then wash out the soap before taking my bath. I think I've been using the esp products for 6-7 weeks now, but it took me a couple of weeks to develop a routine. I would say that it was a combination of the esp products, the soap in particular, and the lime juice bath that caused the recent improvement in my skin. I may try experimenting with putting lime juice, or diluted lime juice, directly on my skin after a shower, rather than bathing in it. I had the luxury of bathing in it because my mom has a lime tree that produces several ripe limes every day and I always have plenty of limes on hand. myrtle > > > > My skin got considerably worse when I started using the esp > botanicals > > (soap and balm), and now it has gotten better. Guest guest
Hi, Myrtle, what a great idea about the lime juice. I'm thinkingthe limes could be put whole into a blender with lemons and orangestoo, and blended to a thick, juicy pulp, tied into cheese cloth or containedby tea strainers and added to the bath. The seeds and rinds would add a stronger element, and all the effort of juicing could be replaced by pushing the blender button.I am definitely going to try this.Thank you, Myrtle!Willow > > >> > > My skin got considerably worse when I started using the esp > > botanicals> > > (soap and balm), and now it has gotten better. Guest guest
I think you should at least buy the soap, and hopefully Trish will throw in a sample of the balm for you. Maybe if you explain your circumstances, she'll do that for you. I think the soap is helping pull crap out of my skin. myrtle > > ok...so are the esp products that good? Guest guest
That's good Chasity -- I think the soap will help you. Order a couple of bars, because you'll go through the first one quickly. My skin feels different now (not as cobwebby and wormy), and I don't seem to be attracting bugs the way I was before. This bug problem has been a total financial drain on me, so I can't imagine what it has been like for you with a whole family to take care of. Guest guest
I agree the ESp products are really good. I was doing really well, but i have recently had some setbacks. The first thing was that my husband decided to move back in... with all of his stuff. He has made some very positive changes and has actually been a big help to me. He has gone to the VA and is looking into getting counseling and other help that he needs. Anyhow, we rearranged the apartment. Switched the bedroom and the living room. I thought this would be a great opportunity to clean in some places that i normally cant get to. Well, the mites swarmed me from the mattress, and i have been buggy ever since. I have two theorys about it. Before i never got bitten in bed so i didnt think the mattress was infested. It could have been that the mattress wound up with the underside up, and there were mites hiding between the mattress and the boxsprings.--- Or that the Quad Zapper from Overmans Healthy Choices was unplugged. It has been broadcasting a frequency(supposedly kills mites) this whole time, and i never thought that it made much of a difference. Now im thinking that maybe the frequency drove them into the recesses of the mattress, and when it was unplugged, they took the first opportunity to swarm me. Im not sure which one it was, i plugged the zapper back in asap. Now everytime i get in bed, i feel the stings. I have noticed decreased activity however, but i also stepped up the ESP. I would like to maybe experiment a little and see if it really does make a difference, but i am scared to unplug it again. I want to get rid of the bed asap, but i would need to buy a nice air mattress to replace it. Im thinking of asking for one for Christmas...i dont know, i was doing so good. We visited some of my husbands family, it was a small house with about 15 people, all wanting to hold the baby, and i saw every one of them scratching. As my anxiety got worse, so did my symptoms. It was awful. I hope to God that they will be ok. I do also agree about the ESP making it worse before it makes it better. I had days of increased symptoms, followed by decreased symptoms. Sorry for the long post...what do you guys think?? Love and Luck Holly > > Chasity > I really believe in the esp line... > I also have had experience with Trishas generosity. Guest guest
Hi Holly,Several folks here have had luck wrapping their mattresses and boxsprings with a heavy painters plastic and duct taping all of the seams so that the mites can't exit ot enter. Guest guest
Hi Holly, I'm really happy to hear the family side of things is straightening itself out. As for the matress, well, I threw mine away along w/ the bed frame. Now I sleep on a $10 twin air matress from walmart. It's not the best kind like Aerobed but I mean, it's only an air matress and the comfort ceiling is only so high. The $10 one is good enough for me. I may not have had to throw my matress/bed away but when I took my 2 week trip back in Oct, I just didn't want to deal with worrying over " what if " the whole time so I chucked it. Well, prior to that, I used to sleep with menthol crystals scattered on the top of the matress, then I'd put a thick comforter over that and sleep on top of that. Nothing got to me with the crystals. I didn't even have to wash the comforters everyday. However, it does mess with your senses, particularly your sense of smell which leads to a loss of taste... so it works well but there's always the other side. I've been getting the crawlies/bitings like crazy over the last week. I can't tell if it's b/c of ESP or b/c I vacuumed up all the DE. I'm thinking it's a combination of both. I need to puff down DE again. I'll do that tomorrow probably. Now I've always been interested in those high frequency pest repellent gadgets. It's hard to believe that it works but my friend once used to live in a pretty old house and even during the countless times I've crashed at his place, I never once saw a roach, even when the kitchen window was a bit open. He had the high freq emitter. Does it work? Who knows but if it works for mites or other buggers, I'd be first in line to get one. I know this is a touchy subject for many on this forum b/c they have pets so I couldn't recommend it to everyone. I've also wondered about those outdoor bug zappers... whether putting them inside will work. ??? > > > > Chasity > > I really believe in the esp line... > > I also have had experience with Trishas generosity. Guest guest
Holly, I'll have a Mitetini, straight up please with an ACV chaser. I double wrapped my mattress and boxspring in vinyl enclosures from J.C.Penny's, $12.99 each. I covered the mattress in DE and DE in between the second layer too. Seems to do the job. I'm not planning on throwing mine out. b > > > > Chasity > > I really believe in the esp line... > > I also have had experience with Trishas generosity.
