I feel the same way. I don't understand why I could go from sleeping in the woods under the trees to hiding in a room filled with DE, Clorox and raid. None of this makes any sense. I have talked to a lot of people. No one understands what on earth is going on. If this "thing" has always been out there then why am I just now running in to it? I am approaching 60 years of age and I have never had anything ever effect my skin and I have slept in the woods, made a bed in a barn waiting for little calves to be born. Camped out on the beaches......the list goes on and on. I have handled so many kinds of animals because I'm the one that everyone brought the little creatures to when they were injured or sick. My horses and I would enjoy the same warm stall in the winter....they eating cracked corn and me laying in a pile of hay. I want my life back and I get so afraid that something new has entered the picture.......something we don't really know how to fight yet. It's frightening to me. Rita

biting at night> > > > > > Hey folks last night I had a really rough time sleeping. I have been using and new bed time protocol and it seems to be helping. I first take a shower. Then right after that I spray a borax h2o2 water mix on and let it dry. then I put olive oil " with a little neem, orange clove mix in there" on top of that. But last night after about 5 min of laying down I could feel them start to move around and bite. It's driving me bleeping crazy. i can't sleep for shit when this is going on and I am not sure what to do? Before I started this program if this happened I would spray myself with kleen green or bug arrest and that would help. But now with this stuff on I don't want to do that cause it might wash the borax oil mix off. It seems like no matter what I do I will have a few OK nights then a real bad one. I used to use Vick's all over my body but wow that stuff make you cold. I just lay under the blanket and shiver for a hour. So I was wondering what you guys and gals do when this happens when your trying to go to bed? And what is your bed time get some sleep routine? At this point I am just going to start taking a lot of sleep meds so I can get some sleep because if i don't get any sleep It ruins my day.> > thanks > > Tommy> >>

Rita,I am so very with you on this. I am the person where all the kids hung out. My daughter had a pony cart and all the kids were always here, and brought me all their sick hamsters and such. I had a club house in the haystack! With a p-nut butter jar for our nickle dues....lol..I raked out the innards of the tumbleweed hedge along our fence line and made a club house in there too. Nary a bug bothered me! I have put cold, dying, wild things under my blouse against the warmth of my skin to warm them--and just washed off anything that transferred to me, also with no lasting after effects.I have hiked barefoot in the rain through the forests of the Pacific Northwest on a regular basis, and drunk out of the rain-swollen creeks, bathed in them even (in the snow too), and never suffered any consequences. Now I am afraid of my own yard. It totally bites.> > >> > > We never were able to lay down with a itch, bite or crawl free night until we started using the Clorox, then followed by the Epsom salt and then follow that with the neem or olive oil. Using the Clorox, salt and raid not only on our skin but in the rooms was a must. I know....it's a hell of a way to have to live. This thing can strike anywhere then I guess. It sounds like to me most of you guys are from the country. I am from the city and there is not much wildlife around here at all. There are not many trees and most people do not have back yards ether. The houses are very close together to the point where I feel we are living on top of each other. But the one thing we do have a lot of is mice, rats and pigeons. From: Willow Morningsky <WillowMorningSky@...>Subject: Re: It's frightening to me.bird mites Date: Saturday, November 29, 2008, 4:51 PM

Gosh, ladies, we should compare scaredy-cat stories....and " before "

stories. I, too, was always rescuing and rehabbing. I always loved

animals & birds more than people...as a very little one, I used to

befriend the feral cats. It took so much patience, but I would just

talk to them and not croud them, and little by little they would

approach. One got so cozy that he broke through the screen in my

parents bedroom and came across the hall and found me in bed!

I had 4 goldfish for over 10 years - they were HUGE - when I was

moving down here 3 years ago we found someone in MA that had a koi

pond, and we drove 2 hours each way to put the last surviving fish in

there. When he died within 2 weeks, I cried. 57 years old at the

time and I cried over a goldfish.

And now I am afraid of everything. I don't step on the lawn, when I

spent the summer digging in it in 2006 (I think that was the

beginning of this). There were old roots that needed removal.

There's a whole list of things I fear, but I won't go into that. You

all can write your own lists, I am sure.
