Guest guest
Exactly ...................what I don't understand about this "thing" is why it takes so long.....why it takes so much........I just pray that the "thing" never builds up resistance to the items we are using to kill it. Guest guest
Hi Em,I fogged the car with the Tri Jet Fogger from Cedarcide, $170, and the Orange Plus that Sue swears is why her house is free of them. It did seem to work, and smells scores better than Raid.> >> > We use betadine in our ears and nose. Guest guest
Hi Willow, I still don't know what exactly I'm dealing with so please take what I say w/ a grain of salt. In my experience, the orange plus cleaner is a good knock down but I'm not sure if it's a knock out. Meaning, even if the mist hits the buggers, they may not be dying. After I slopped mopped my floors and ceilings with the orange cleaner, things got better but do realize right before I did that, I had vacuumed up DE and also mopping with the orange cleaner actually got rid of the ridisual chemicals I had such as nylar and bifithrin. I feel my condo is getting worse so I'll get back to the DE regimen as much as I hate it b/c of the mess. But one thing we can't ignore is that DE actually works... and we have strong support from hatebirds88 and Holly. Hatebirds88 actually got rid of her problem with DE. Cedarcide, I used one application for my condo and cars. My condo seemed to get better but I also ran the dehumidifier and heater at 86F 24/7 and left on a 2 week vacation so I'm not sure what really helped (maybe the combination). The population seemed to have exploded in my car after using it after 2 weeks. Maybe b/c I fogged it, which increases humidity and I left the car alone with the windows up so whatever cedarcide didn't kill, they'd have a good humid env to breed... just my experiences... > > > > > > We use betadine in our ears and nose. Guest guest
>>>>>.....take what I say w/ a grain of salt.<<<<<Is that Epsom? Ack! Looks like it's back to my old standby, DE, again.I just don't know how to save my vacuum from it's demise as thefine dust particles sift into the engine. Organic Valley Farms @ www.groworganic.com has a duster for applying dry dust to large areas. I hate to use DEin the yard because it is non-selective and kills all the insect and arachnid life. I guess now that it's getting cold most of the honeybeeswill be in hibernation and therefore safe.Anybody know of a good dry duster that can be plugged in and left to itsown devices? One that doesn't cost $800? I have a lot of area to be dusted. Thanks, K> > > >> > > > We use betadine in our ears and nose. Guest guest
I use Orange Guard directly on insects I can see. Ants INSTANTLY shrivel and die; those huge Palmetto bugs take about a minute to die. There is no microscopic " bug " that can withstand this stuff. I even spray it around the outside of the house windows and it keeps new ants from coming in. This is not intended to dispute anyone's experience, but more to raise the question about what this horror really is. I don't know the answer to that, but it sure ain't any " normal " critter.
