Guest guest
It didn't work for me. I don't think my freezer gets cold enough. Maybe if it did... Anyone else? katiejill > > I read somewhere that putting your clothes in the freezer overnight > inside a plastic bag will kill the blood-suckers. Guest guest
We tried it during our infestation and it didn't work... Guest guest
I remember reading one of Tim's research articles on the birdmites site and the test showed that it took 3 days of 4 below zero to kill birdmites. Very hard to do. We sat our car out side with windows down when our temps. reached 9 below zero and it didn't show any effect on the things in the car. Rita Re: Will Freezing Kill Bird Mites? Guest guest
Boy am I glad I asked the knowledgeable folks! All this time we've been alternating freezing with washing hoping to save some wear and tear on our weathered clothes. And I don't even want to see our electric bill. So how do you bake or microwave your clothes? Do you put them inside a container of some sort first? Thanks for your help. vb > > Yeap. Z's right! Heat does kill these things.
