Guest guest
Christi, Wow - that is REALLY great news!! Maybe Tricare has changed its policies since plagio has been on the rise. Hopefully more of our military families will experience success in getting their bands approved in the near future!! Congratulations! Guest guest
Well my daughter had a visit and has her casting scheduled and now tricare has taken back there approval and has now denied my baby for the DOC band. I am so upset. SO now we have to start an appeals process. I am completely upset by this. SHe will still be casted because she needs this band so I will find the money somewhere. But I just think it is rediculous that they wont approve this. There reason is it is cosmetic. The doctor said she is so bad that she may require two bands. I was also told that jaw dislocation can occur and hearing and vision problems if its not treated. But yet they say its a cosmetic thing. Yeah right. SOrry just venting!! Im so upset. ANy suggestions on appeals are welcome ! THanks- -- In Plagiocephaly@y..., Kendra <p-nutsmum@s...> wrote: > Christi: > That is AWESOME!!!!! Guest guest
Christi, So sorry - good luck with the appeal. See if the specialist will write a letter of medical necessity and the more specific he can be the better. Good luck and let us know how the appeal goes or if you need more help. I just really hope that we can appeal this I mean the doctor had said she probably will require two bands and I just dont know how we are paying for the first one yet and cant even begin to think of the second. And her casting is on tuesday ahhkkk. Haha I am sure we will figure it out! Just sooo much stress!! Christi > Christi, > > So sorry - good luck with the appeal. Guest guest
Chrisit, Could you contact your hubby's commanding officer and see if he would lend a hand? I've heard of several military families doing that - I'm not sure it would help, but you never know. Marci
