Guest guest
Hi Tommy, In my old workplace I had flourescent lighting everywhere and it caused the mites to swarm while we had our active infestation. It was pretty bad... I'm glad we're past that... I have since moved the business to a place where there is NO flourecent lighting. So far so good! You will get pat this too! Hang in there and use every available weapon possible! Trly > > Do you guys get these small fibers when you roll your skin with a lint brush? I got so many today when i did that at work. Most of them looked black but also had a few red ones. Also as soon as i walk in the front door to my work " I work in a school " I felt mites all over me every where. I must have got at least 100 off with the lint brush. I hate it because the kids came running up to me to say hi but I was freaking out cause i felt like I was getting swarmed. Frito explained to me that it is the florescent lighting that makes them do that.Good thing she did cause I really would have been freaking out.Do other people get this as well? > tommy >
Guest guest
Tommy - Did you see the mites on your roller? You said you got about 100. I ask because it would be so important to start getting these things ID'd, maybe through a vet or better yet a university. Bug guys are useless for that. Guest guest
This is what was happening to me at work except it never occurred to me to wonder if it was the fluroescent lights. I got the Dustmite, after 8 weeks the black specks (and accompanying innoculations!) lessened to a few a day instead of nearly a hundred bites a day. katiejill > > > > Do you guys get these small fibers when you roll your skin with a > lint brush? Guest guest
btw still have fluroescent lights, it was the dustmite that made the diff in the past, and recently when I forgot the dustmite, it was moving to an uninfested area (and immed spraying w dustmite) that made the diff rather than the light. worth testing tho...anyone else notice a correlation betw fluroescent lights and number/color of specks, number of bites, etc? katiejill > > > > > > Do you guys get these small fibers when you roll your skin with a > > lint brush? Guest guest
You're wecome.Keep using the lint roller until you find another surefire way to kill them! They can't run from it and can't survive it! Its a quick kill ! Well... Not exactly... But you know what I mean! :)TrlySent via BlackBerry by AT&TFrom: tommy morrow Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2008 19:47:26 -0800 (PST)<bird mites >Subject: Re: Re: Fibers yes i was trying kleen green but they were too many of them for that so i was using a lint rollar and it worked better. Guest guest
Tommy - That's a great idea! Look at Tim's home page for descriptions as a starter, then if you can't match them I think it's Kihun who has a whole book on them = he might have some ideas. Guest guest
Yes I would get a lot of those tiny fibers too. Eventually (after about 8 months) of using the esp products and working on myself internally, I pretty much stopped getting them....every so often I will still notice a couple on my skin after applying the products. I was able to get rid of the mites long before I stopped drawing out fibers.... z
Guest guest
Zmooks if you don't mind me asking what did you use to get rid of them ?? I love to hear how everyone has done this. Guest guest
Tommy There was a poster on here a year ago named Ray. His family all had this. Anyway he was one of the first that I know of on this forum to get rid of this. His protocol is in the files section under his name. Basically he used doused his home/car/office repeatedly through the week He used ivermectin internally, and he showered multiple times a day using listerine (spray it on in a spray bottle then turn the shower back on and rinse them all down the drain as they seem to be shocked and release their hold on you with anything menthol) anyway his protocol was working for us.....(along with the crazy laundry, beds covered in plastic, borax in the carpet usual stuff) However people on this forum were using heat treating, where they used propane heaters to heat up the interior of their houses to kill the mites in the environment,we did this once per week as we were getting really sick of the ammonia fumes ....it worked very well for us. I also added in a parasite cleanse by revoxil which really made a big difference, along with continued use of the once per week ivermectin. by 3 weeks the mites were pretty much gone completely....every great once in a while I would feel something, we continued the heating for 2 more weeks to be sure, and at this time I also got on the esp products as I was still worried about the possibility of this being more than just mites.....that was the end of any mite activity, its been a year almost to the day..... I thank my lucky stars for this forum! Hope this is useful to you Tommy, just let me know if you need me to elaborate on anything z
