Crawling was a bad sign

What you are describing was exactly how it went with us. The crawling was a very bad sign. After 2 years we sort-of got it figured out. The crawling meant that we had a lot of small ones on us. That also fits with the mite infestation. If the crawling ones were allowed to go on with out killing them then the biting....the horrible pin pricks started. Then the very dry, sand paper skin, then lesions. We noticed that as our skin got clearer we couldn't let up on our bodies because we got the twitches. There is a phase of this "thing" that will get so deep down into the skin tissues that it will start to make the skin twitch. Once the lesions appear then we stood the risk of an immune response from all the bites....sort of like an infection. Lymph gland involvement, joint pain and general ill feeling. Those things happened when our body was like a walking ant hill......literally crawling with the things. When we felt them crawl we had to hit them hard. We also had to really get to work on the house because the crawling was a sign that our rooms were too infested. In the car the crawling was the first thing to stop when we first started to get a handle on them in the car. I think Tim has talked about this early on about how the crawling means the little ones are trying to move across the skin and can be felt easier. It's an awful situation to be in but it is a sign to really change the strategy and move on to something that can be more effective. Rita

Re: Oven times/temp?

I'm on my third day of ESP soap. The first two nights, I took a bath in borax/epsom salt/tea tree oil/cedar oil. Drained, then scrubbed body, then applied soap masque and went to sleep. Tonight, I was short on time so I took a regular shower and then applied masque. The crawlies have seemed to intensified and I'm getting pin pricks all day but I don't see anything on my skin. I've also been using DE in my condo for almost 2 weeks and I have not vacuumed in that time frame so I was thinking that maybe I'm letting them multiply by not vacuuming despite the presence of DE and my place looking like a snow storm. So I vacuumed up some areas (esp around computer) and then sprayed alchohol/witch hazel/tea tree mix around the area but I was still getting the pin pricks. Even after taking a shower just then with a masque on, I'm still getting a small amount of pin pricks. WHAT IS GOING ON!?!? I thought the soap would act like a repellent but I'm feeling them on my body. One thing for sure is that I'm getting so much crawlies in my nostrils and ear canals... normally, they have not bothered me this much. Perhaps the soap encouraging activity?Sometimes I start to think that maybe it's not even mites that I have. Spring tails? Whatever it is, it's driving me nuts. But I have identified many white specks that look like balls of fiber that jill and many others have found so I don't think I should doubt.I sure hope that the soap has something to do with what I think is intensified crawling and pin pricks. Hopefully it will be better next week. The only time I really thought stuff came out of me was the very first time I used Cedarcide. I used Cedarcide, took a shower in the evening, then put on fresh clothes and walked out somewhere and I felt the crawlies on my arms and face like never before. When I looked at my arms, I saw many white specks and sure enough, they were the balls of fiber.Kihun> > > > >> > > > > Hi,> > > > >> > > > > For those using the kitchen oven to bake your bugs, what > > > temperature> > > > > are you setting and how long do you bake?> > > > >> > > > > I've started baking my jeans, sneakers, shirts, and fleece. > > The> > > > > lowest temperature the stove goes is 170F which is plenty > > lethal > > > but> > > > > it takes too long for the heat to distribute throughout the > > core > > > among> > > > > all the items so I'm experimenting with higher temperatures > > that's> > > > > still safe for the apparel.> > > > >> > > > > My sneakers survived 220F but it did make the shoe inserts > > inside> > > > > shrink :-O> > > > >> > > > > kihun> > > > >> > > >> > >> >>
