Guest guest
Isn't that interesting? Part of my current protocol is sarsaparilla!!! Also, I used a combo as well for my wormwood! It was actually a combo of Black Walnut, Wormwood, Quassia, Cloves, and Male Fern Root. Very similar to yours. One mega dose every night before bed. Most healing comes from sleep, although, the first three nights were intermittent. Have had much worse herx's and it only took me a couple of days to clear the toxin headache. The protocol I was following was only recommended for three days but I extended it by two due to the reaction I was still having on the third. No sense in stopping something if its working. Will repeat with the thought of the three days again, but always subject to short extension as symptoms present or not. Actually from what you have listed we seem to be doing a lot of similar things. I was also using Echinacea augustafolia root to modulate my immune system, and although I have taken colloidal minerals, I have been mainly supplementing with Magnesium chloride, mainly because Lyme feeds off it. I wanted to force calcium into my bones, magnesium out into the blood stream and coax Lyme into the bloodstream where I can kill it easier. Your McCain's Herbal Protocol sounds very similar to what I have recommended here and am doing myself. Good concepts for healing and health!! You mentioned abx. Actually, don't completely discount them as they can also be used to manipulate the Lyme and co's quite effectively in combination with the "naturals" as long as one consistently supports and modulates the immune system. If you don't have one, then they won't do what you want. All my rotations or protocols are built to compliment one another not only in what they do, but how they distribute through the body, how they work off each other, what will carry them, where they penetrate, the whole drill. The resveratol is very good for anyone fighting infection. Good stuff. I am so glad your pain is gone as that can be a huge roadblock. Interestingly enough I took eldeberry syrup and bilberry for a few rotations, something similar to your blackberry toddy. Mmmm...a good brandy with some nutmeg sounds lovely. Will definately be emailing you. Here's to good health..............Frito From: Sue <sue@...>bird mites Sent: Sunday, November 16, 2008 6:31:25 PMSubject: Re: NY, Cali, NJ, MD, TX Hi, Frito! Didn't really suppose your link was meant to jog my memory but glad it did & knew you would clarify. Hadn't thought of quinine in years, and believe quinine water is more a flavored water that still has some medicinal value as genuine root beer does.Interestingly, just finished my absinthe wormwood dosing, though at a low steady dose over 6 weeks. Mine is blended with fresh "green" black walnut hulls (jugians species) & carophyllus (clove buds) extracts - Herbal Healer Academy "Wormwood Plus Complex" drops. Noticed a quick half-swelling of lymph glands that passed in a few days & was never uncomfortable but no other herx reaction. Took this along with American Biologics "Intestinal Freedom" composed of 550 mg of black walnut hulls & 90 mg each of black walnut extract, ficin (fig enzyme), jerusalem oak seed powder, bromelain, papain NF, cascara sagrada bark powder, sage & male fern leaf powder - dosed twice a day 30 minutes after lunch & supper. Nutribiotic "GSE capsules plus" of grapefruit seed extract 125 mg & echinacea augustafolia root & artemesia annua each 200 mg dosed at 2 capsules 30 minutes after meals 3 times a day. Also an ounce of HHA "colloidal minerals" daily. This was Step 3 of McCain's Herbal Healer Academy detox & rebuild 3 point plan for health minimal protocol. Step 1 was to detox liver & kidneys so they'll be effective at filtering toxins & blood. Step 2 was natural antimicrobials for low grade chronic health depleting infections & this Step 3 is to rebuild the immune systems using nutritive support. From what I understand of her approach, it's designed to strengthen the body by revving up its filtering systems so detox can progress without toxemia. It's been pretty gentle but very effective for me. I've continued Steps 1 & 2 into Step 3 on my own intuition. Went this route thinking I didn't want to risk killing some organisms but releasing their internal hooligans in the process. What I gather the "traditional" sequential antibiotics/ antimicrobials treatments for lyme/coinfections are prone to do.I'm no expert by any stretch. Figured I had lyme or similar & about ready to turn myself in early this Spring when my husband ordered a grapeseed-type supplement by Biotivia called Transmax trans-resveratrol 500 mg. First time I took it, my pain disappeared within 20 minutes. It all just vanished. Didn't know how bad it had been till it was gone. Took it 2 or 3 times a day from then on & the pain's never returned. My favorite dose is the one before bedtime. Know we heal when we sleep & this brought back technicolor & surroundsound to my dreams. One of the ways I knew I was on the right track...Used to grow & use many plants but not in recent years. Been meaning to fence off an area out back from our wild neighbors & begin again. Was next on the list & aborted by the mitemare. May just turn the soil & fence this Winter so it's ready to plant in Spring. Time for a vegetable patch again as well.Amassed a large book collection over the years in every subject that interests me, and I'm the curious type. There must be thousands of volumes by now. & I've read & studied them all. Most are currently in a wall of boxes on the lower terrace level, awaiting the library I meant to build for them this Fall. Another project delayed. Some of the garden & herbal books are on the main floor in a case & I have years' worth of notebooks downstairs as well. Many of those go back into the 1800's, since there wasn't much published on organic methods when I first began. Always haunted used book stores. Interesting how people grew & harvested, stored & used plants before all the chemicals were promoted. Gives a long view of methods & purposes...I'm no expert, just a longtime student of the natural world to which we belong. Be glad to help you in looking into the oils & properties for specific purposes. Always used homeopathics, especially the Bach & Boiron lines, since it's so unlikely to overdose with those when self medicating. And the oldtime remedies I learned from my grandmother Mayme who was a nurse. Still keep a bottle of blackberry brandy for stomach ache & the runs.Marijah McCain probably knows the answers you're seeking, and Trisha Springstead may know as well.Good thing you like (long?) stories, Frito! If you can believe it, this one is heavily edited & reduced from all I'd like to say. Email me sue@... to talk some more about this fascinating avenue of research.Glad you're resolving at least another layer of what's been dogging you for so long! The answers are out there & within.
