Guest guest
Yep, Thats the stuff. I have it in my carpets with a carpet cleaner. It was all we were using in the beginning, because it had proved to be effective when we had a mite problem before this one. Those mites did not bite, but gave me the crawlies when I sat on our cloth furniture. > > Hi -- Is this the product that some of you have used to keep the mites > away? Guest guest
It restored sanity to my environment. Now my body is the primary culprit. Because of Dustmite, I do not have very many critters that live to " climb the walls. " The ones I have only go " up " when the PCOs I fired used to just spray the floor. Needless to say, I'm in DIY mode now!!! And will not be without the Dustmite. For more details see posts 8204, 11075, and in 11077 points out it is nice to spray something that doesn't require a respirator. Save, whose message this is a reply to, also said in post no. 11133, " I have used DustMite for years around my cats and never had a problem. I use DustMite when I deep clean my carpets, might be on of the reasons that we have not had the problems with our carpets that other people have had, who knows? When this first started for us, DustMite was all we were using. " For me, I found out the hard way how much Dustmite does for me when I stopped using it! Bad thing was I had to start the 8-week countdown all over again! I know it sounds like I sell the stuff I so believe in, that has helped me so much, esp the Dustmite, but I'm not (wish I were. hmm. there's an idea!) anyhow, my urgency with the Dustmite is that it takes about 8 weeks to start seeing the results, and the faster you get it down the better. No need to vacuum first unless you can and have time. More important to spray the Dustmite, a fine film, no need to saturate carpet or curtains or car seat or upholstery or computer chair, bec the fibers will suck it down. The reason you don't have to saturate the foam in your seat cushions is that the critters are going to come up to YOU for food and voila, a face full of borates is what they get instead. You might want to saturate the seat cover, but I do not think you will need to saturate the foam. On the other hand, if you have enough Dustmite, rock on with that too! Better to spray than steam bec it takes twice as much of it to steam since the steamer will suck up what you have just put down. If you want to use your steamer, do it first and spray a double strength solution of Dustmite on the still wet carpet WITH A KNOCK-DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET (as they say down hee-yuh) ATE UP!!! and also remember to add your IGR as this is the perfect time to get that down too. Your knock-down can be homeopathic, pesticidal, it's up to you, but the more people friendly it is, the better for you, obviously. I just use ECP (enzyme cleaner with peppermint) and I'm not sure which makes it work, the enzymes or the peppermint, but it does. I still get out of the house as soon as I am done. katiejill > > > > Hi -- Is this the product that some of you have used to keep the mites > > away? Guest guest
Thanks for the info, KJ and Save. I read your earlier posts, but wasn't sure if I had found the same product, because the name sounds sort of generic. I might try it in my car, too, to prevent any future mites from popping up in there. myrtle > > > > > > Hi -- Is this the product that some of you have used to keep the > mites > > > away?
