Guest guest
Here's a link to the slideshow that shows my old techniques for rolling the bed with a lint roller. (I no longer use the Premium lint roller. I now use the Giant. The Premium model has a design flaw the Giant corrects) http://home-and- garden.webshots.com/slideshow/562777129SUKVgH;jsessionid=abce9tU27OhXd 4tyfTW3r I used this procedure for years but it got too hard on my back to do the bending over for 20 minutes, which is the shortest I ever got it including untucking and folding up the top sheet at the foot of the bed and so on. For those who prefer a list, this one is for a top and bottom sheet only. If you have a blanket also, use the steps given for the top sheet twice, once for the blanket and again for the top sheet. Each layer really increases the work involved. I want to encourage you to stand up and stretch a minute before you start. It is a back breaker. Also, if you drink coffee, go put on a pot and come back. That way you have something to look forward to! 1. Fold top sheet back nearly to foot of bed. Roll the folded portion top and sides. Fold again and repeat till you have almost a roll across the foot of the bed. 2. Roll pillow, all sides, and place in safe location off bed if possible, if you have to just move it on the bed, you will need to re- roll it before moving it back to the head of the bed. 3. Roll all exposed portions of the fitted sheet, top and sides, ignoring for now the portion covered by the rolled up top sheet that should still be laying across the foot of the bed. 4. Unfold the folded top sheet so it is laid back out normally. Re- roll (if needed) pillow and move it to head of bed. Roll the top of the top sheet, all round. 5. At foot of bed, fold top sheet back on itself and roll all exposed sheeting. 6. Now you should have rolled the entire inside and outside of the top sheet, and the entire top and sides of the fitted sheets. 7. If you see fresh dots of blood on your fitted sheet, you are going to have to go in and roll the underside as well as whatever surface is under it, because you may still have a little friend hanging out in there. If he had a good meal there, he may be too lazy to have moved away. 8. Replace sheets to normal made up bed positions 9. Fold top sheet up on itself on all 3 sides. 10. Ensure your gloves are intact, that none of the fingers have developed a hole. This is VERY important. 11. Pull out the edge of the fitted sheet, starting at any corner, and roll the underside and the outside with the wrinkles from elastic flattened out where there is elastic. Sometimes I turn the whole corner inside out so the corner is folded up on the corner of the bed, and roll it that way, especially with those deep pocket sheets. That't the only way to get the critters out of their hidey holes. 12. Ah, java..... katiejill > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey folks last night I had a really rough time sleeping. Guest guest
Hi, d-grl, I didn't find it any stickier than a regular one left in my car on a warm day. That said, winter might be the time to invest. However, I MUCH prefer the new GIANT ones by Evercare. Those suckers are huge, but easy to handle just the same. Refills available. Source online: www.amazinghomeproducts.com You can also get cedar and Bounce scented ones. I just use the regular ones, though.
