Guest guest
PINK OIL SPA TREATMENTThese are my personal notes; they do not reflect manufacturer guidelines. The procedure is for the body from the jawline down. Scalp treatments are easier and safer in the sink (less chance of transmission to other partsof the body). INGREDIENTS - Deionized Water, Mineral Oil, Lanolin, Beeswax, Petrolatum, Sodium Borate, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sorbitan Oleate, Ethylhexyl Dimethyl, PABA, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance (Parfum), Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Red 33 (CI 17200). WARNING Always use gloves when applying Pink Oil as this will, by reducing the organism's ability to smell you and to sense your body heat, in turn reduce the likelihood that an angry, desperate organism will bite or penetrate your skin. SURFACE ORGANISMS Seems to immobilizes some microorganisms during or after a bite. Interferes with their ability to breathe and move. The organism may become more interested in survival than in an immediate meal, although it may still bite, because it will be-- * Desperate for air * Unable to move normally REMOVAL OF ORGANISMS Remove to a lint roller or other secure means of disposal. Here is how I prepare for this "spa" treatment. MATERIALS (See below for sources) 1 Lotion for application before shower 1 qt Pink Oil (to ensure you have plenty) 4 - 8 oz Other lotion of your choice 1 Large open bowl 6 - 10 Lint rollers 12 Pair disposable vinyl gloves (latex sticks to lint rollers more than vinyl does) 1 Lined trash can 1 Portable microscope (optional) Music or entertainment of your choice SCHEDULEAllow at least 1 1/2 hours, preferably 3 or more PREP AND SOAK 30 min Undress and apply lotion of choice (need not be Pink Oil) Prepare environment (temperature, entertainment) Lay out lint rollers end-to-end (so they don't stick together) on a counter Lay out gloves Pour Pink Oil into bowl Shower TREATMENT Start massaging Pink Oil repeatedly and continually into skin. Be patient. It takes 15-30 minutes for things to start coming out of the skin. I have noticed that they do so in stages, with several minutes between when I think they have stopped or I have gotten everything (I didn't). As they emerge, roll them off of your skin and onto the top side of a lint roller sheets. When the tops of the lint rollers are full, roll them in the same direction all at the same time to reveal a clean strip. Change all roller sheets at once. When the whole rollers are full, change the sheets all at once. If you have a pocket microscope, examine any specimens immediately. FINAL NOTESMy theory; definitely subject to change at any time! Many of the specimens I retrieve have a clear, bevel-tipped tube. I used to think it was for feeding, and that may be the case. However, if that is true, then I don't understand why it is never full of blood. At most, it has some blood at the beveled tip, but the tube itself remains clear, even when the organism's body is dark and suffused with blood. So what else might be the function of such a tube? It could be for mating, but again, why would there be blood at the tip? I wonder, could the tube be used to pierce the skin and siphon oxygen from the surface of the skin to the submerged organism? * The Pink Oil seems to stun and suffocate hatched organisms located in all layers of the skin * The longer you add and massage the moisturizer, the more will come out of the skin * First affected are those on surface, then upper layers, then deeper * (Continuing) Adding and massaging Pink Oil into the skin cuts off the organism's access to oxygen. * The organism has to come up for air * This will take a little time because some of them are deep in the skin, so keep adding and massaging Pink Oil into the skin * Massaging generous amounts of Pink Oil prevents the organism from getting air by-- - forming a bubble that, when it bursts, becomes a tubular path to air - using their clear beveled tube as a snorkel RESOURCES EVERCARE LINT ROLLERS Avoid: 70-LAYER BLUE-HANDLED (roller flies off spindle), 70-LAYER BLACK-HANDLED (hard to roll), and TRAVEL ROLLER (poor value) Untested: CEDAR, BOUNCE, ALL-IN-ONE Recommended: GIANT (40% more area than 70-layer models, Better value * Easy to roll * Reliable; I have never had this mechanism to fail through many refills. SALON CARE PROCESSING CAPS - for covering scalp during treatment (under $10 for 100-count pack) VINYL DISPOSABLE GLOVES - Google "disposable gloves vinyl" or try this link . I try not to pay more than a nickel a glove ($5/100-count box) if you can help it (not counting shipping) LUSTER'S PINK OIL, 32 OZ for about $10 - WALMART, SALLY'S BEAUTY, any discount, drug, or beauty supply store. Cheaper to buy in town, or get it at Sally's online.

Guest guest
I'm afraid so. It is all I said it is, however organic, unfortunately, it is not. The fact is, though, it IS the reason my skin is relatively healthy and I don't have sores that show in public. It is the reason I have been able to survive this ordeal. Will my loyalty to it extend past the point that I (hopefully) find something that is organic, but that works as well or better? Heck no! But for now it is what I have that works. And of course it also has mineral oil and petrolatum. Surprisingly it has limonene and linalool, possibly the reasons for its efficacy. Guest guest
Unfortunately yes. All 3 kinds. I'd like to find the ingredients and make my own without that, the scent, and the pink color. However, I don't know how to go about getting the chemicals. I'll stir something up n abuying chemicals to do something like that. I've been trying to find a substitute half as nice ever since I found it in the first place. But that is why I wanted to post the ingredients, so folks could temper my glowing praise with the chemical ugly truth. Despite that, it is the absolute best lotion/cream I have EVER found for dealing with the critters and their effects, and I use it as a base for a lot of my custom mixtures. Until I find something better and safer, that is!
