Guest guest
Yes live steam will kill them. I have a TECN carpet and upholstery steam/vac (see demo on Utube). Don't waste your money on those ones for $50 that steam the wrinkles out of clothes. They don't work for the critters. Mine cost $1200 and is good for cleaning stairs and small areas. The problem is they will be back in a week so this starts to become a little frustrating. You know what I mean? Guest guest
The hot steam will kill them and if the heat is applied long enough will cook and thereby destroy any eggs in its path, however, the moisture from the steamer will create ideal conditions for more breeding. After steam cleaning, you need to run a dehumidifier for a couple of days to remove the moisture from the environment, then spray your favorite spray, whether it be windex, cedarcide, or something else, to kill or repel the mites in the area. myrtle > > Just more on the heat/ironing topic.. what about using a hot steamer. > Even on the shower, bed area, etc. A hot steamer can be used in so many > areas.
