One of the first things that worked for us was following Rays protocol

(in the files section) he would spray listerine on in the shower, wait,

then rinse it off....the theory was that it shocked 'them' into letting

go where they could be washed down the drain.....so yes, in our

experience too, menthol helps.....also Joans husband was using gold

bond with the menthol in it, which helped him as well....(correct me if

I'm wrong on this joan :) plus all the people who burn menthol

christals in the environment too.

Also I have heard that Trisha may be adding menthol to her already

awesome balm...

So yes I concur with the power of menthol :)

Yes he used some gold powder, but not much. He had more luck spraying with windex, then witch hazel mixed with alcohol with a few drops of tea tree oil in it. Also, after we sprayed with CedarCide, he used that on his hody some and around his bed and bath area daily for about a week. He was also taking Stromectol which got him over the first attack. He had been mite free until about 2 weeks ago and got cold one night and got a blanket out of a ziploc bag that had evidently been overlooked when we fogged everything. I think that is how he got them again. He is now on his 2nd week of stromectol again and alternating using pink oil and cedarcide on his body, It seems much better this week but will probably continue at least 2 more treatments and if no activity then will quit again.

I bought the ESP New Hope KIt and Trish sent me a sample of their new bath product with menthol in it. I don't think it will be a best seller because it had spilled in the package and made Neal nauseated to smell it. She wanted me to let her know how I liked it but haven't gotten around to it yet. Her environmental spray sounds good though. I plan to buy some Roach Prufe to put around but have mixed feelings about using it straight on skin. Guess I would do so if desperate though.

Wow Joan, lucky you to have the new bath mix. It's suppose to be

really effective fast, with the New Hope 2. I had an earlier version

that didn't have the menthol and it's working great. I find the

smellier stuff works better for me, like peppermint Dr Bonners, clove

and hot spices too. I can put up with a strong smell if it gets rid

of these. Trish is changing the packaging and putting it in a pump

bottle that you shake up to make it easier to use and to avoid the

leaking like you had.

Joan -- I was thinking about Neal today. I recommend that he try the

esp soap mask (I won't spell it " masque " if that sounds too fru-fru).

You just lather yourself up and then let it dry on your skin -- it

only takes about 5 minutes to dry. Then get dressed and go about your

business. The soap is not visible on your skin after it dries, but it

is a bit sticky, which is part of the reason why the bugs don't like

it. Then you wait 12 or 24 hours, rinse it off, then wash with the

Dr. Bronner's and then soap up with the esp again. I sometimes do the

soap mask, or I just do the 5 minutes of soap, wash it off, then apply

the balm. I have found the esp products very helpful. My bug

activity is now so minimal I am almost back to normal (change the

sheets once or twice a week, can wear the same clothes two or three

times, etc.). However, it still feels like there is " something " in my

skin so I'm keeping up the regimen. Also, I'm taking the MMS.

Best aloha,

Thanks Myrtle. I will suggest it to him but he is so stubborn in some ways don't know if he will try it. He has had minimal activity this weekend and will take his 3rd dose of Stromectol tomorrow. Also will go back to dermatologist and find out if he is still thinking about joining our group. I've taken him some literature I found that people use for their mites and he puts it all in a special file. Neal is not the only mite patient he has had and I'm sure there are more in this area who would go to him for treatment if they knew about him.

Glad you are doing so much better than last year.

Are your cats still doing okay? My friend in Florida is having a terrible time with herself and her cat and can't find anyone who will treat them. She is in one of those groups that require you to go to certain doctors. I'm so afraid that is what our whole medical profession is coming to with all the government interference. Joan

I'm glad to hear that Neal is doing better. Yeah, us older people get

set in our ways, don't we?

My cats are doing fine. It's strange, but as I get better, they seem

to get better too. When I pet them I don't feel any bugs coming off

their bodies. They like to sit in my lap when I'm at the computer.

It gets crowded in my plastic chair at times. Has your friend tried

the olive oil rub on her cat? I only did it once on mine, and it

seemed to help them. If her cat is infested with mites, I would try

rubbing plenty of food grade diatomaceous earth into the cat's fur

every few days, and using Frontline or Revolution at least once a month.

Myrtle, you are always so encouragig. I really appreciate your advise.

Yes, Marcia tried the Olive oil on her cat but it seemed to make him worse.

He is pulling his hair out and she is trying different things. Her vet gave

her ivermectin for him but only 3 doses and 2 weeks apart. I think he needs

weekly treatments, and now the vet has refused to treat him at all. He has

dipped him in lime sulfur and put cedarcide on him but is afraid he will

like medication off and get worse. She finally found a collar to put on him

yesterday and treated him again. She is not doing better. She bought roach

prufe yesterday and put in hot areas of her house and van. I feel so sorry

for her. She is a devout Christian and her husband is Jewish and will not

accept there is anything wrong and tells everyone she is just delusional.

She sent me pictures of her with bite marks very plain on her neck and face

so I don't understand why he won't see them. She can't find a doctor who

will try to help her (just like most)

I am going to ask our doctor tomorrow if I can post his name on our website

for those in our area. Guess I will ask Tim first though.

I am so happy you and your cats are so much better that when we first

corresponded. Joan

Joan,

Olive oil should not make a mite problem worse. It could be that it

was disturbing the mites and it seemed like it was worse because the

cat had more crawling on its skin, but overall the olive oil may have

been helping the problem. Maybe Marcia abandoned the olive oil too

quickly.

Thank you for your kind words!
