Guest guest
Hi Joe, these "things" have nearly cost me my life. I have lost all my furniture, my pets and have spent more money on sheer crap just trying to get a nights sleep. The only thing we have tried that has given us immediate relief and total eradication of these things has been the Roach Prufe. It seems to be different from straight boric acid. The can says to shake it before opening because it has something that gives it a static charge so that it clings to anything that walks through it. The powder is very , very fine. It goes every where. One post says it has something called sulfites in it but I can't find any info to verify this. If you try the Roach Prufe you might be able to salvage most of your belongings because it is this powder that killed the things in my basement where the floor is brick and it's filled with furniture I didn't want to throw away. This is the site I ordered my can's from : http://hardware.hardwareandtools.com/search?w=roach+Prufe I ordered 12 cans at $5.90 each for a total of $82.16 You need to wear a mask if you use this because the powder is so very fine. A small pest bellow to puff it would help also. If you have any more questions please let me know.....also, tonight is the first night I used just the straight Roach Prufe on my skin without any of the Epsom salt along with it. This is the first some-what normal shower that I have taken in 2 years. The powder seems to work great as I mixed it 2 TBS. to one pint of water. My hair is soft and my skin is still free of the "things". The powder does kill the things that are deep in the skin so be prepared for that. I do wish you luck and hope to hear of your success no matter what method you try. Rita Greetings all> > > Hi guys-> I'm new to the group; but not new to the mites. Guest guest
Rita, I am only four months into this hell and I can honestly say I've never faced a bigger obstacle to personal peace, contentment, and sanity. I want my life back! And to think I initially believed the folks on birdmite.org were exaggerating their woes. Thank you for the glimmer of hope. The husband will be visiting Lowes tomorrow and hopefully they'll have some Roach Prufe. > > > > Joe, I along with my husband have been fighting this for over 2 > years and the best thing we have found to use in the environment and > on the skin is something called Roach Prufe. Guest guest
hardwareandtools fot com has evidently jacked their price per lb up on the Roach Prufe. However, I found it at a price more like it here . I found more information about its safety and how it works here . A while back I lost the capability of checking email during the day, so I bought a phone with a nice big touchscreen and Internet. Even so, raading the digest was very time-consuming. that's not a lot of real estate and I was having to scroll through 20-40 pages in each day, so I switched to receiving individual emails. Sheesh, what now? I've got to get up to speed and read all the posts on this so I can figure out what to do about my hair skin feet clothes shoes environment (car, home, and all the stuff I have'n't cleaned out yet, plus my husband's 500 shelf feet of history books) Would someone mind forwarding to me the Digests (or emails, if you prefer) containing the most pertinent info for how to USE the Roach Prufe for every purpose? If you don't already have my full email addy, email me here and it will go to my home email, and I will reply to yours from there. Thank you and Thank God!!!! jill > >> > Joe, I along with my husband have been fighting this for over 2> years and the best thing we have found to use in the environment and> on the skin is something called Roach Prufe. Guest guest
If Lowe's don't have it try Ace Hardware. They are on the Roach Prufe site as being a vender for this product as well as some others. It might be a little more expensive. I'm trying to get my husband to try it as his has come back after being rid of them for 9 months. Good Luck to all of you and let us know if it works for you. Frito - I wanted to asked you about spraying with nylar. Did you use the straight stuff or mix it with another product? Also, how often are you supposed to spray it? For those who are new to this site - welcome- and you are not alone anymore. When I joined last winter there were only 37 members, now we have over 200 plus I personally know at least 4 more who do not belong to site yet. Most of them are getting the delusional diagosis even from some of their families, but there are some doctors willing to treat this although hard to find. Ours is in Houston and last time we saw him he indicated a willingness to join our group although I don't know if he has. I also have an email contact in Chicago who has found a doctor who believed them first time and a vet who is willing to treat their dogs - so don't give up hope. I don't know where you live, but chances are there are others just like you in the area who are afraid to speak up. Good Luck All and Prayers for all of us - not the virus kind. Guest guest
Rita, did you have a purge the 3-5 days afterwards or does it seem to be killing them in your body? Have you dusted the quilts, etc that you are saving? I was just wondering if it was OK for them. I would hate to stain mine, you mentioned a color. bob > >> > > >> > Joe, I along with my husband have been fighting this for over 2 > >> years and the best thing we have found to use in the environment > > and > >> on the skin is something called Roach Prufe. Guest guest
Rita, everyone, doing a little research, it seems boric acid is not the best stuff to be inhaling. In fact, it may be very dangerous. Here's a link to check out. http://www.jtbaker.com/msds/englishhtml/B3696.htm It's a little scary to me to use for overall dusting. Maybe around the baseboards and places where you will not raise the dust. I have mixed it in the water and sprayed it on my feet and lower legs to try. I'm a little nervous about it. bob > > >> > > > >> > Joe, I along with my husband have been fighting this for over > 2 > > >> years and the best thing we have found to use in the environment > > > and > > >> on the skin is something called Roach Prufe.
