Guest guest
Well for the first time in a loooooong time, I was able to sleep for a straight 5 hours! Of course I did need a few sleep aids such as ambien, 2 glasses of wine and vicodin but I was not itchy going to sleep and was able to actually fall asleep comfortablly. Even when I awoke I was not itchy and still feel good as of now. Here is what I did: Before bed, I sprinkled some borax over my sheets then sprayed with some diluted dawn dish detergent (I am desperate here, guys). Then right before bed I applied a thin layer of Icy Hot (10% menthol) all over my skin. I then applied a thin layer of lavendar epsom salts (diluted in a little water) all over my body. The lavendar helps relax me as well. I then put on some old jammies and crawled into bed. The icy hot does make you feel very cold but after you get snuggled under the covers you are fine. Oh, I also lay a sheet over the area where I sprinkled the borax soap stuff cuz it is grainy and would be very hard to sleep on. I just feel like this would be a good barrier if there are any of these suckers in my mattress or sheets. Now here's my situation. I cannot begin total eradication until after the holidays. I have a house guest right now, 30 people coming over on Christmas Day and still have to figure out what I am doing as far as my birds and bird room go. So for now my concern is finding temporary relief which I believe I have accomplished somewhat---what I owe to this group! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I feel human again. A little bit of a crazy human, but nontheless, human!! God Bless you all!!!
