Guest guest
Dear group, Max received his DOC band last thursday & all was going well until the weather turned hot & really dry saturday. By sunday morning Max developed a large red spot on his forehead. The band's been off since then & his head is now peeling. I called Cranial Therapies who said I could put some cortisone cream on the affected area & to keep the band off until it heals. I'll get some later today & try that. Otherwise his head looks like it's healing fine, it will just be a while. I'm a little frustrated after waiting so long for the band only to have it on for 2 days. If anyone has any advice on the dry skin, I'd love to hear it. My sister suggested a product called something like Tagaderm that is a breathable adhesive film for skin - I could apply it to his forehead to prevent further abrasion. We go for the first band checkup on friday. Thanks in advance. Eileen & Max Long Beach, CA
Guest guest
My son has extremely dry skin and eczema. His dematologist recommended Moisturel cream (not lotion)and it has been a god send. You can get it at any drug store (in Canada anyway). He has been free from break outs for a month and his skin is not so dry anymore. I just apply the cream a couple of times a day especially after a bath to lock in the moisture. Good luck.
