Guest guest
Hi, loves, We WILL get rid of these, but the magic bullets seem to be inconsistent or incomplete for some of us right now, what with setbacks, new eruptions, creative critter hideouts, etc. Our bodies are exhausted, our skin under attack, and our nervous systems ravaged. Is it any wonder if we are a bit stressed out!!! Then, and I do have a point, please bear with me, there is the staggering amount of work, the crippling costs, and the difficulty in getting a night's sleep. Add to that the stigma, made worse not better by the ignorance of a medical community influenced by a veterinary entomologist, and concerns about our families, pets, and transmission to others. Many choices have been stripped from us. Our lives seem to have gone with them. But that is not true. We are still breathing. Thank God, for me at least, we have each other. Some of you know that I go hunting. I will tell you I often think it is an exercise in the absurd, because with my critters ever present, the deer see me a mile away, wriggling in my stand 30 feet in the air. They hear me curse when I get bitten inside a boot. So why do it? Trust me, I have asked myself this question. I do it because if I don't do it now, I will be too old and infirm to climb a frigging tree. That's it--it's now or never. Bitten or not, itching or not, this happens to be my life right now, and I choose to squeeze at least a little LIVING into it. I love you, katiejill
