Guest guest
Is all this stuff such as roach prufe/boric acid, etc.. safe to put on hair/scalp? Has anyone tried it with results/no harmful effects to hair or scalp? I am really scared and very depressed about all of this. It has taken a toll on my life and marriage. I am just devastated. I am in the begining stages of trying to get rid of this nightmare and will begin the fight after the holiday. This group is a Godsend. Guest guest
Dawn, that is one of the main reasons I tried the roach prufe. I have not been able to get the things out of my scalp. I have been using the powder in my hair for about 8 days now and it hasn't had any bad effects on me. In fact I can't tell it's on my skin. We all have to decide and make intelligent decisions about what avenues to take when fighting something like this skin mess. I can feel the desperation in your post and I know exactly how you are feeling. My husband and I have been telling our friends that we are now existing in the land of the "Living Dead"......we are alive but not living. This "thing" has taken every thing I love from me. I was almost at the point of loosing my home. Then came the roach prufe. In 2 days it stopped the things from crawling in my hair and scalp. The itching is gone............we are also starting to feel our energy level increasing. I also had lymph gland involvement with this "bug". Most of my lymph glands had decrease in size from all the salt and Clorox I was using. I still had a couple around my neck that I could feel. After 4 days of using the powder I can't feel any swollen lymph glands any where now. I have read several sites that give instructions on using the boric acid to kill and dehydrate bugs. One site said to give the powder 2 full weeks and one site said to wait 30 days. We noticed improvement in our rooms within 2 days. I can only relate what we have done. Each of us has to decide what is best for our own personnel fight with this life altering ordeal......don't give up Dawn......keep trying. Rita What to put on scalp/hair? Guest guest
The discussion I described in my last post was a groups decision on using Permethrim to kill the critters. This is what your up against with your hair. You don't want to overkill when you can do almost the same thing on a long term basis using less toxic measures. Shampoos have been digused for a long time with best results going to deterrents rather then killing agents. So shampoos with Rosemary and herbs seemed to be the most popular, but not long lasting. I try to stay out of areas where these critters get in my hair and avoid all dead air spaces. WTG > > Is all this stuff such as roach prufe/boric acid, etc.. safe to put on > hair/scalp? Guest guest
Rita, i found a can at the local true value hardware store here in town. I have to work tomorrow, and am wondering if i can dry it into my hair? I have blonde hair, so when i put DE in it you cant tell. Im sure it will be ok, but im under the spotlight behind the bar, so i want to make sure. Thanks and love. > > Dawn, that is one of the main reasons I tried the roach prufe. Guest guest
My husband hair is white-grey and when put in as a dry powder it gives his hair a light....very light blue tint. I Have one friend who put it in her hair and she bleaches her hair and she wore it to work with no problems. If you mix it with water and pour it on it doesn't seem to leave any of the blue coloring in. I have light brown hair and I can't see the powder even when puffed in dry. All I can say is test an area and see how it looks. Good luck...Rita What to put on scalp/hair?> > > Is all this stuff such as roach prufe/boric acid, etc.. safe to put on > hair/scalp?
