Guest guest
No, I didn't see that. Thanks, TIm. I will try anything. My birds are like my feathered kids and I will do whatever I have to. I just wish I knew if they were the source of the mites. I see specs of white on them but they can also have these specs from the sheath that sheds off their feathers when they preen or from their skin. Anyway, one step at a time. I just have to take more precaution with them and with what I use around them. I am taking them to the vet after the holidays anyway, and am also seeing my derm. as well. I know it will probablly do no good to see my derm. but my husband is insistant that I do so anyway. > > > Dawn et al...I know you had mentioned you have several birds and not > sure if you had read the post on the 'forum' at birdmites.org; but > someone mentioned that cigar tobacco sprinkled in the bird cages helped > to get rid of the mites from the birds. > > Not sure how effective it is, but I can confirm that smoking cigars > helps to keep them out of my sinus and nostrils:-) So it may be worth a > try?
