Guest guest
Hi I have been dealing with this (bites in the beginning - now with our daily rituals only crawling sensation)for about 4 months (Myself, then my husband, then my mom, then my mother-in-law - 3 different households). Now I found out a frind of mine has been battling something for a year. She just recently was diagnosed with Liver Cancer and about a month ago she and her friend were put in quarantine at a hospital with scabies. They did idintify her problem as scabies at that time. Not sure if she was dealing with scabies the whole time before the hospital and now after or if she has a couple things going on. She has had 8 different scabies treatments & still has itching, bites & feels things crawling on her skin and in & out of EVERY orifice in her body. She also has problems with her lungs. And she has no bathtub and not a lot of money to fight this problem. I feel like if it were just scabies her enviroment would have been cleared while she was in the hospital away from her house for a whole week & her body would have been treated effectively at the hospital. What do you think? She doesn't want to give this to anyone else and is putting herself under quarantine as we have done also. However, she is sick and all alone. This is the time in her life where she needs to have her family and friends arround. Can someone suggest a very effective, fast & realatively cheap treatment/protocol for her situation? I know some of you on this site have been lucky enough to eliminate these things from your body & enviroment. I would really like to hear from you if you can help! She needs to get rid of these bugs so she can enjoy her time with her family and friends. We are going to get a prescription for Ivermectin next week, but not sure if our doctor would even put her on it due to her liver problems. Also, have read that sometimes we can get parasites in our liver. I even wonder if her liver problems are due to parasites & not cancer? Can anyone suggest a parasite cleanse they have had good results with? I tried one cleanse in a box, but didn't seem to work at least for what we are dealing with. I know you all are very busy and I will appreciate any help you can extend. Thank you! Hannah
Guest guest
Hi Hannah -- I am sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis of liver cancer, and also having skin mites. I wish there was a fast and inexpensive way to get rid of the problem, but I don't know of any. If there was, I believe all of us on this forum would have done it already. Your friend may need to reach out and ask for financial help from friends and relatives so she can get what she needs to deal with the mites. As for her desire to cleanse or detoxify her body from the inside, I would recommend that she start with a colon cleanse. Here is a website with reviews of different commercially available colon cleanses: http://www.naturalhealingtoday.com/colon_cleanse_product_reviews.html#oxy-powder I'm sorry I don't have more specific advice for your friend, but your question is so broad and all-encompassing, that it's difficult to respond. Also, with a serious diagnosis like liver cancer, I hesitate to offer any advice on the mites, being concerned that the tactics I use might be harmful for your friend. And, what works for some doesn't work for others. jill has created a separate group that has various tactics that people have used. You might want to check it out. Guest guest
Hanna, The symptoms that I and others have that imitates Scabies is most effectively reduced by Enzymes (topically). I would recommend the products at www.naturalginesis.com. I would not try the Ivermectin at all. Guest guest
Thank you for the recommendation of the enzymes and the website. I'll check into that. Is there any specific reason you're against the Ivermectin? Guest guest
Hi Hannah, So sorry to hear about your friend and her health problems. If she does have bird mites and not scabies the scabies treatments will not help and so this should be a clue to the doctors. The scabies mite is very fragile and cannot live for more than a day or two without a host in the environment. If the doctor needs more info, you are welcome to print out some of the medical findings on the 'research' webpage of birdmites.org. If it is bird mites, then there will be other symptoms, such as the crawling sensation around the nostrils, mouth, ears, etc. Scabies mites will generally migrate under armpits, folds of skin, webs of fingers, and not the face. They burrow under the skin, whereas bird mites do not. Internal parasites, such as worms, are altogether different than the mite parasite and internal cleanses will generally not help, except that they may promote a healthy immune system. Regarding a simple and inexpensive solution, how about providing her with a spray bottle with Dawn/H2O to use while in the hospital. It may help and is non toxic. I pray that things will turn out okay for her and please keep us posted. Guest guest
Hanna, First of all Ivermectin is very dangerous for the elderly. With Liver Cancer (if terminal goes very fast) more so. Second Ivermectin only removes parasites from the digestive system, not the skin. If her lung problem started resently and parasites were suspected I would do a blood and stool test for strongyloids. These are found in the lungs before they enter the stomach. If they have auto infested the most popular target is the liver. If she is terminal I would just try the enzymes. Guest guest
Hi , I agree the Ivermectin is probably not for my friend because of her liver, which is why I hope to find something else. I've done my research on Ivermectin and its actually used to treat scabies in certain situations. So, while Ivermectin is more commonly known for treating internal parasites, it is proven to kill the scabies mite on the skin. I also know of at least 2 people with mites that took Ivermectin and it solved their problem. So in light of this, my family and I are willing to give it a try. The side effects seem like about any other drug doctors prescribe and I'm willing to take the risk. But you are right it is not recommended for people with liver problems. I'm thinking of trying to get her to do the Master Cleanse. I'm also going to recommend the enzymes and some other things. Do you or anyone know of something that stops the itching? My family and I have never been itchy. However, she said she is extremely itchy and her scratching is damaging her skin. Nothing her doctors have prescribed has worked. I suggested sulfur cream - any other ideas? Thank you! Guest guest
Have her to try Sarna. Its a wonderful anti itch lotion. Also any type of lotion with menthol in it will help with any crawling feeling that your friend is having. Guest guest
Thanks Trly, I googled the lotion and printed the info for her. I'm planning on dropping off a bunch of paperwork/ideas to her tomorrow. You're right about the menthol. When they were bothering my ears/nose bad menthol creams/lotions were the only thing that deterred them. I'm so glad I found this site with so many wonderful ideas! Thanks, Hannah > > > > > > > > > > Hi I have been dealing with this (bites in the beginning - > now > > > with > > > > our > > > > > daily rituals only crawling sensation)for about 4 months > > (Myself, > > > > then > > > > > my husband, then my mom, then my mother-in-law - 3 different > > > > > households). > > > > > > > > > > Now I found out a frind of mine has been battling something > for > > a > > > > > year. Guest guest
I don't have mites myself, but when my skin gets itchy I have gotten relief with "Pink Oil" moisterizer from Sally's beauty supply (also some drug stores). I used a new shampoo last week and my head got so itchy I thought I was getting mites, but I put a lot of pink oil on my scalp and rubbed in good and left overnight. Next time I shampood with my regular brand and it's been fine since then. CedarCide also helps, but is strong smelling and some people can't tolerate it. ESP skin balm also helps. Joan Re: FRIEND HAS LIVER CANCER & I JUST FOUND OUT SHE HAS MITES - PLEASE HELP! Hi ,I agree the Ivermectin is probably not for my friend because of her liver, which is why I hope to find something else. But you are right it is not recommended for people with liver problems.I'm thinking of trying to get her to do the Master Cleanse. I'm also going to recommend the enzymes and some other things.Do you or anyone know of something that stops the itching? My family and I have never been itchy. However, she said she is extremely itchy and her scratching is damaging her skin. Nothing her doctors have prescribed has worked. I suggested sulfur cream - any other ideas?Thank you!Hannah> > > >> > > > Hi I have been dealing with this (bites in the beginning - now > > with > > > our > > > > daily rituals only crawling sensation)for about 4 months > (Myself, > > > then > > > > my husband, then my mom, then my mother-in-law - 3 different > > > > households).> > > > > > > > Now I found out a frind of mine has been battling something for > a > > > > year. Guest guest
Hannah You have been given a lot of great ideas, I just wanted to add one more and hope you dont get bogged down! One of the cheaper methods I know of for this is found in the files section under Rays protocol. He was a man who had this about a year ago (along with his family) He was able to get rid of it using three key things - windex for the environment, listerine sprayed on just before taking a shower, and ivermectin internally (which your friend could substitue for a good parasite cleanse, www.healthwalk.com has a very good one called Revoxil and it is not expensive) My family followed this protocol and I do believe we could have gotten over the mites with it.....(however we switched to heating our home up, and we also used the ESP balm and the parasite cleanse I mentioned to eradicate them, as I couldnt stand the windex anymore) Anyway, this is an affordable method. God bless you, and what a friend you are to be helping someone else while you yourself are battling this plague..... z
Guest guest
Hi Z, Wow, thanks for all the wonderful info. It is so comforting to know about two more families that triumphed over this horrible plague! Reading all the messages here and seeing how long so many have dealt with this....I start to wonder if it is even possible to win the battle. I needed to hear that! The listerine and windex are easy for her to find and buy also. If she goes this route she won't have to buy expensive items in bulk from the internet. And please don't worry about bogging me down, I want to learn as much as I can. If anything I am BUGGED down and that is definately not your fault! lol I'm using the ESP and it has helped our skin heal tremendously. Can you please tell me more about how heating your home works? I'm very interested. Thank you! Guest guest
I thought for years that it was the combination of petrolatum, lanolin, and beeswax that subdued my critters, which is why I could use it to protect privates (I now use Bobby's recipe of olive oil + tea tree and that works too) and to protect my skin at night and during the day. It seemed to act like quicksand, whereas they could punch through harder stuff like eucerin in the jar and petrolatum, and swim through the thin lotions, the Pink Oil seemed to get them " stuck. " When I reread the ingredients, however, I discovered that this particular lotion contains limonene and linalool, which are safe pestides made from lime peels! So maybe that has been what has worked all along against the critters. For whatever reason, it has been one of my standbys and although I no longer use it every day, it saved my literal life for a long long time. Sad that some can't benefit from it due to, I'm guessing, a sensitivity to one of the chemicals in it. Soooo glad it is helping Neal. Guest guest
Hi Hannah, the pink oil also seems to repel the crawlies. Neal alternates between cedarcide and pink oil on problem spots. I'm afraid he still has the mites though. We are washing his bedding again today using Roach Prufe in the first cycle. Don't know yet if it helps or not. Guest guest
Hi, Hannah and Joan, Found this on Topix, which is a scabies board: "There is something in the U.S. called Benzol Benzoate. It is a liquid solvent that is used in the laundry, and if you have things that need to washed in cold water, it still helps. I think hot water is better, if you can use it, though. Or you could try a more expensive product called 'DeMite,' which contains the Benzol Benzoate, and which is supposed to kill dust mites the same way.It is sold here." (I think it is actually spelled Benzyl) KJ http://www.natlallergy.com/prod/1235/demite-laundry-additive-for-dust-mite-control.html > > > > > >> > > > > > Hi I have been dealing with this (bites in the beginning -> > > now > > > > with > > > > > our > > > > > > daily rituals only crawling sensation)for about 4 months > > > (Myself, > > > > > then > > > > > > my husband, then my mom, then my mother-in-law - 3 > different > > > > > > households).> > > > > > > > > > > > Now I found out a frind of mine has been battling > something > > for > > > a > > > > > > year. Guest guest
Actually there are four groups. invisiblebitingmites (Mel's group), critterfiles (that one is mine), bodybugs, and skinickies. I am going to be updating critterfiles over the weekend (so much has changed in just 2 months and I never had everything up there that I wanted anyhow!) Today, though, I have been sorting through all my photos (got about halfway through, which is a lot of pics) and am uploading them now to a new album called Best and Strangest Critter Shots at my webshots account, www.webshots.com/user/livingwithcritters I have taken and still take so many pictures of the things that I find because they are moving on me (though it is difficult to get them to move FOR me, they are very camera shy!) I am starting to see some things that look like mating, fighting, carrying children or being attacked by a smaller critter, or carrying an egg sac, and metamorphosis from what I formerly thought was one critter to a different one, but guess what? Definitely some wow's in these, at least for me. I'm also finding a bunch of fiber critters now that clearly have at least one PAIR of legs versus random fibers. katie > > > > Hi I have been dealing with this (bites in the beginning - now with our > > daily rituals only crawling sensation)for about 4 months (Myself, then > > my husband, then my mom, then my mother-in-law - 3 different > > households). > > > > Now I found out a frind of mine has been battling something for a > > year.
