Guest guest
I found out the same thing then I started baking my clothes at 200 for 1 hour.I now have no problems but it a big pain. And when I sleep through my alarm clock then I am screwed cause I have to microwave then.I burnt a hole in two shirts and two boxer shorts so far in the microwave. From: vbscribe <vbscribe@...>Subject: How Long Must Clothes Soak?bird mites Date: Saturday, December 27, 2008, 1:51 AM It's finally sunk in that I can't get the things off my clothes through normal wash and dry cycles, so I've resigned myself to the soak method. How long do you have to soak your clothes to drown them and/or dislodge the eggs?
Guest guest
After you wash and dry your clothes, you wear them. You are still getting bit so you believe you need to soak. " Been there, done that " and even boiled them. What is happening is the critters are coming out of your skin. The big pin prick is (/groups/bodybugs/Photo section) " Fried lice blue print " who will exit the skin thru the white hole that is in the blue color. The little pin prick is " flied lice " who also exits from the white hole in the blue color. These photos were taken under the skin looking out. Guest guest
I wash my clothes in Dr Bonner's peppermint, borax, arm and hammer washing soda, chasity's H202 bleach find (color safe) and two shakes of essential clove bud oil. I do not soak them, I wash in very hot water. I dry them with two sheets of bounce free that I shake clove oil, with a few other oils of choice on. Clove oil is suppose to kill dust mite eggs so I'm hoping it's at least affecting these guys egg casings. It's not suppose to be great for the plastic parts of the washer though. I don't think that I am having any problem with my clothing. bob > > It's finally sunk in that I can't get the things off my clothes > through normal wash and dry cycles, so I've resigned myself to the > soak method. Guest guest
work for socks too? do you get black specks in your socks even with the windex in your shoes? do you get movement in your feet inside your socks, or from yhour socks? socks and shoes are a killer for me. can't rewear hose or socks. not cheap. gonna try the hair dryer thing for shoes, tho, got an extra plastic tub, the lid's in the garage someplace... Guest guest
I never see black specs anymore on me. Just teeny teeny ones that are clear, on the surface when I'm in the bath. My baths keep my mite load way low - just the annoying stage - and no knockout GRRRRRR. My feet are still a problem but I think it's my feet causing it, not my socks or shoes. They are in there way deep. I always change my socks twice a day. I need to do Bill's foot soaks, yes borax...lol. I also just bought a stiff little scrub brush I'm going to hit the soles really hard with. My next move, is to windex my shoes after every wearing and then in addition to menthol them every time I wear them. I'm going to put an inverted bin over the menthol melter and give them a really strong, concentrated hit. Then menthol powder when I put them on. I really want to get my feet under control. You've pumped me for an all out environment/body attack with all the success you've been having. Don't be discouraged by the good/bad days. I think when I was purging really badly, it took me three or four weeks to get to where I felt I had a light bug load. You're doing great! b > > * Dr Bonner's peppermint > * borax > * arm and hammer washing soda > * chasity's H202 bleach find (color safe) > * 2 shakes of essential clove bud oil > > I do not soak them, I wash in very hot water. > I dry them with two sheets of bounce free that I shake clove oil, with > a few other oils of choice on. > Clove oil is suppose to kill dust mite eggs so I'm hoping it's > at least affecting these guys egg casings. > It's not suppose to be great for the plastic parts of the washer > though. Guest guest
Actually I'm not discouraged at all. This is great, the first progress (read: an increase in shedding) that I have experienced in years when I didn't force it by " burning " my scalp, which I did almost every weekend by leaving the enzymes on my scalp overnight on Friday night. By Monday night I was usually peeling and shedding biters like crazy. Habitat. That's what the head, feet, hands, groin, under breast area for women, armpit, provide the critters. For example, when I used to wash my hair in the shower, back in 1995 in my divorce house, before I started doing the lice combing in the sink, the critters would grab hold and hide in every crevice they could to avoid getting washed down the drain. To a large extent they behave no differently than any human would if threatened. Fight or flight. I sure appreciate the encouragement from you and everyone else, though, Bobby, because despite my positive spin on where I am in this journey, that's a choice, and sometimes I have moments when I still get very discouraged. When I tot everything up, though, comparatively speaking, everything is going well and on schedule. Affectionately, KJ > > I never see black specs anymore on me. Guest guest
WTG - Yes, I too believe that our bodies are the primary source of whatever is " bugging " us, and that is why our first priority ought to be our bodies - inside and out, followed by the environment. It's like swatting flies in your house but leaving the windows wide open while you do it. Close the windows first, then handle what's in the house. Guest guest
Marc Neumann has a wash (laundry) protocol on his website, it is the most extreme laundry protocol I've seen: http://www.morgellons-research.org/morgellons/ Click on " Treatment Steps " , then " Wash Proposals " . I soak my laundry for an hour in a mixture of bleach, white vinegar, and borax, and sometimes laundry detergent if it doesn't dissolve my laundry. The only detergent I've used that doesn't dissolve my laundry is Cheer. The organic detergents interact badly with the bleach and my clothes get damaged. All of my clothing is synthetics at this point, but I still have to soak them to ensure no bugs are living on them. myrtle > > It's finally sunk in that I can't get the things off my clothes > through normal wash and dry cycles, so I've resigned myself to the > soak method. Guest guest
Remember, if you don't want to be calling 911 or having someone else call 911 for you, read the warnings on the cleaners you use. Some of you that are using Windex might not know this is ammonia. Mix it with bleach and you've created Clorine gas. Clorine gas will kill you dead. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Thank you for the warning about mixing vinegar and bleach, I wasn't aware of that. I didn't notice any breathing problems until I switched laundry detergents recently, so maybe it's the vinegar that's causing the problems. It is probably the least effective of the chemicals that I'm using in the wash anyway. I'm not aware of any 100% polyester workclothes you can buy. The mechanics jumpsuits I used to buy at Sears were cotton/poly blends. A lot of athletic wear is 100% poly or nylon, but depending on the type of work you do, they may not be tough enough. The good quality athletic wear that I have can tolerate a lot of abuse in the washing machine, with all the toxic chemical combinations I've been using. Fortunately, I haven't dropped dead yet from the chemicals. Thanks again, myrtle > >> > >> It's finally sunk in that I can't get the things off my clothes > >> through normal wash and dry cycles, so I've resigned myself to the > >> soak method. Guest guest
Hi Bill, I would recommend that you alternate your borax baths with apple cider vinegar (ACV) baths. Use at least 2 quarts of cider vinegar in your bath water, the water should taste sour. Either that or bath in lemon or lime juice, but if that is not easily available to you, the ACV is almost as good. I found that the acid baths (I bathe in either lime juice or ACV depending on how many limes I have) did a great job of killing the worm-like creatures in my skin. myrtle > > WOW Bill.
