The fact that these have been sold for this purpose at a bed bug site

would suggest that it could very well be effective.

Can you get your hands on a paint peeler, one of those things that

looks like a hair dryer but has a metal tip and melts the paint off

the wall? I think your idea is peachy. Either should work fine.

I'm not aware of any sold on a bed bug website. I would be interested

in finding out more about this if you want to contact me privately or

post it on here if that is OK. Also, I am not sure about the other

contraption you are talking about as it would definately damage cages

(i.e. chip the paint off and/or melt the plexiglass frames that are

on some of my cages). I guess the dry steam is dispursed in such a

way that it does not damage the surface and you can also use a rag or

such over the top of the nozzle to concentrate the heat onto it. I

guess anything is worth a try at this point. I had just been

wondering if anyone had any positive results with this method. Thanks.
