Guest guest
Powders clog and salts corrode metal. It isn't really the strength per se, it is the clumping of the crystals in powders that do not allow water past, and the corrosiveness of salt on metals. Even stainless steel disintegrates when exposed to salt long enough. Brass is what is used on seagoing vessels. I believe it holds up. So I wonder if there are sprayers with brass nozzles...probably. We would still have to contend with the clumping that blocks the spray itself, though. Ideas? Bill, how do your Chaping do with the powders and salts? Guest guest
Hi KateJill All Chapin sprayers are plastic, they never corrode or fail, they have been in business for 138 years and have worked the bugs out. They have a lifetime warrenty , theyare less expensive than other crummy models and last forever . If the 3/4 cup borax is mixed 1st in a gallon milk jug with the top cut off , while you beat & mix with a handle of a knife in hot water it will disolve well and not plug up in the sprayer . Corosion is no issue with a chapin. I want a hurricane power fogger ,(like cedarcides but with automatic float valve so it will fill automatically with & 5 gallon bucket . so I can soak the house while I am gone. I keep bringing new bugs from my travels. So I need to keep spraying. 340.00 google Hurricane fogger it will save money in the long run. The bug woke me up at 4:40am last nite to naw on my leg. I blasted ceiling & walls with epsom ,took the air mattress out for a bleaching in the front yard, waited 20 mins , then rinsed ( neighbors looking at me like ...what ? ) then back inside dry it off with a boiled rag , spread some borax water down , plop the air mattress on the new mote of borax on linolum floor, crank the heat to 99 degrees , shower with selsun blue , lather , wait 8 mins rinse ......and off to na na land .. All in a days work as an avid skin saver . ..... Help ! I am going crazy from these bugs I am going to get DE & flea powder with pyrithroids Nylar Menthol crytals can anybody add another good environmental killer that won & #39;t killl me.. I just keep bringing them in with me from the docks, parks , chimneys I rebuild , woods, old trucks, friends houses , the lake and where ever else they lurk. .... But all considered ,I am doing fine , minimal bites, back wigglers haven & #39;t wiggled in 20 days. , but I feel something there .. God bless you, Bill ps Chapins are at all Ace hardwares , livingwithcritters wrote: > Powders clog and salts corrode metal. > It isn't really the strength per se, it is the clumping of the crystals > in powders that do not allow water past, and the corrosiveness of salt > on metals.
