HIV/AIDS awareness drive in Upper Assam

Dear Forum,

P.L.E.A.S.E. (Prevention.Learning.Education.Awareness.Stop.End of AIDS)

AN AIDS AWARENESS CELL, Sivasagar Assam,organised an aids awareness

drive on eve of Valentine Day capitalising on the thought as follows-:

" HAPPY VALENTINE DAY, BUT BE FAITHFUL TO YOUR PARTNER,AVOID AIDS "

The course of action included roaming around the streets of Sivasagar( a small

town in Assam) in a four wheeler with handwritten posters and banners and

distibuting leaflets spreading message of how to fight against AIDS. This drive

was well appreciated all over.

I will take this oppurtunity to request different NGO's in towns and villages of

india to organised this kind of campaign to uproot AIDS through simple and short

messages relevent to prevention of AIDS using posters and banners - purely an

effective and economical approach.
