Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for all the kinds words when I was feeling down. I'm feeling much better today! I got in touch with our neurosurgeon's office and they said the doctor wrote craniosynostosis on the order for 's CT scan just for insurance purposes so that they would pay for it. It would have been nice if they would have explained that to us ahead of time so that we didn't worry about it all weekend. But anyway, I'm just glad that 's chances of having cranio are once again low. More good news is that we got 's CT scan moved up from March 6th to Feb. 26th. So we should be able to get going with the casting of the band shortly after that. I know there are more tough days ahead (casting, insurance battles, etc...) but I feel so much better now that we are least on our way to getting help for . It is great to have this group for information and support during those really hard moments. Thanks MI
Guest guest
, Whew! Today does sound like a much better day! I think I heard your sigh of relief all the way down here in Philly ;o) So on the one hand, it sounds like your doctor will be helpful when it comes to getting insurance to pay; but on the other hand, he needs to brush up on his communication skills! And its terrific that they were able to move up 's appointment for his CT scans. Sounds like things are coming together for you. Keep us updated and let us know how does next Tuesday! Guest guest
: I'm glad you got a good explanation from your Dr. as to why he wrote down cranio.. We've all been worried about cranio at one time or another so we know how scared you were!! That's great you got the CTscan date moved up. Once that is done - you'll feel a big weight lifted off your shoulders and then you can worry about the casting!! Ahhh, one worry after another being a mom isn't it???
