First of all, I have to say that I read all the messages posted every morning when I arrive at the office, even before reading the official mails of the company. I haven't much time so I can't write very often to you, although there many interesting questions. Well, this morning I have 2 minutes left to thank you all the support, information and help that you offer every day to the young parents like me and my husband, who sometimes have very difficult days with our plagio kid. My son is feeling better now with his doc band but I still have some doubts. Yesterday my mother told me that when looks something which is upstairs (for example, a lamp in the ceiling), he turns his eyes and he has to do a lot of effort with his eyes. So, I want to now is someone has had some problem of squint because of using the band. 's plagio is a bit severe so his doc band covers almost completely his head. I send you some photos so you can tell me your opinion about this. Thank you again for your support, especially in the bad days! Guest guest
Hey Estrella- there are eye problems related to plagio-but none that I am aware of that are a direct result of band use. We have another Mom who works in aneye DR's office on board and maybe she can give you some better info then me-but I do recall that it is recc. that all plagio babies have an evaluation with a pediatric opthamologist by 12 months ofage- so you might want to see if you can find one of those. Let us know. In the meantime I think I have some info she posted somewhere let me see what I can find. Beck Mom to doc grad
Guest guest
Estrella: I just checked out the pictures, let me say first is a handsome little boy . His band looks to fit him fine from your pictures you sent. It looks like a normal DOCband. When my daughter looked up above her head with her band on, I also thought the band was interfereing a bit with her vision, especially at first when it was a bit loose. But over time, I didn't notice it as much. I would imagine that the band might come into their vision while they are looking up a bit, but not too much. I hope that makes sense! Guest guest
My daughter has plagio. We felt sometimes as if her eyes crossed. Now it's kind of OK. We don't see that much. We did take to her to an opthamologist couple of times to check. Nothing conclusive came in the tests.
