Guest guest
Sorry it took so long to reply. You know how it can be with a 15 month old, plus DH was out of town all week. Whew! I'm tired! Trips are going okay, but I have to say it is really starting to get old. Everything, the helmet, the travel, all of it. Kendall has been in one type of helmet or another since July, and I really just want to see her little head again. She got casted for her second DOC band last week and it should be in next week. So, we have about 4 months left. We saw some good improvement the first month or two, but I would say that in the past 6 weeks, there hasn't been any change (probably adds to me wanting it gone). She's had some improvement, but not as much as I'd like. Considering she didn't start the DOC band til nearly 12 months I guess it is probably a reasonable amount of improvement though. Kay keeps saying that her head seems really stubborn (hope that isn't a sign of things to come! LOL). It just doesn't want to do anything right behind her ear. Still really flat and really angled. But, overall her head shape is better. The bulge on the right is greatly reduced, and overall it is a bit rounder. I think that most people won't notice it once her hair comes in better (I hope). One interesting thing is that Kendall's ped said that I knew more about plagio than any of them did (including our " specialist " ) and asked me if I would provide her with the articles/studies I've collected about it. Although she gave me the standard " it will round out on its own " thing most people get, I think it is great that she realizes that she doesn't know enough about it. If nothing else, I hope that Kendall's case will change the way she deals with it in the future. Well, that was probably more than you really wanted to know! Can you believe the weather today?!? It was beautiful. Debbie and Kendall > Hi Debbie: > Wondering how your LONG trips back & forth to Chicago have been > going? Any more improvement of Kendall's head?
