Lee Ann,

Check out the appeals information for sure! I think you will find there is a

great deal of information there and also in our insurance help files on the

plagio homepage. This is something you can and should appeal. Call your

DOCband clinic and see if they can provide you some information to dispute

the experimental part. It is an FDA approved device and is not considered

experimental. Also, do you have a letter of medical necessity? If not, you

need to get one if you can from your specialist. That will help dispute the

" cosmetic " part.

Keep notes of everything related to the treatment. Keep copies of every piece

of documentation that crosses your hands. Keep a phone log of everyone you

call with name, date and conversation notes. You may need any or all of that

to assist you in your appeal or appeals as the case may be.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Dear Lee Ann, I am sorry you were denied. Ya know! I am really tempted to

start a petition to get a bill passed and signed by the president. This is

ridiculous! Don't they realize how detrimental this is to our children's

lives?! It just upsets me so and I do not think you should have to even

think of appealing but...... insurance companies simply do not like to

insure. What do you think of my idea? Sincerely,
