All of the things you mentioned work well. There are some great decorating

tips at www.plagiocephaly.org/support. I just used stickers and then changed

them every week. Some who use stickers cover them with a coat of clear nail

polish, however, I never did and they stuck pretty well. The metallic looking

stickers didn't stick worth a darn and the smaller the sticker the better

since the long, big stickers can't curve around the helmet very well.

Good luck - I'm sure you will do great!

Hi, Denisha:

Firstly, my husband and I decorated our son's helmet with stickers. But stickers

have peeled off so

last weekend we have tried something new. We have painted his helmet with

acrylic colours, like a

football helmet: silver plated with red strips and a big number 7. And he is

very handsome!

Try it, and after painting, cover it with acrylic varnish. It doesn't smell at

all.

Hi ,

We used stickers. I was afraid of not liking the paint and then not being able to change it. With the stickers we could change them periodically and have them match up to the holidays. We did not put on any modge pod (?) or acryllic coat or anything so that it would be easier to change the stickers, but then they tend not to last very long. However, some of our stickers lasted a few weeks before they really needed a change.

The clear backed stickers peel off really easily and leave no residue. The paper backed stickers tend to be more difficult to remove. You may have to use your finger nail to scrape some of it off. I would then use some of the rubbing alcohol to try to help remove some of the sticky stuff.

Have fun decorating.

Hi we are having trouble trying to think of how to decorate our son's Doc Band.We can't decide whether to use stickers or paint. Does anyone one have any pros/cons of each? If you use stickers - what kind do you buy? Do they all just peel off easily so you can change them often or do you need to buy a certain kind.If you use paint, does it scratch off? Can you take the paint off to repaint? Thanks! For more plagio info
