Guest guest
HI Laurie-what a scary time for you I hate those terms sometimes severe Vs mild Vs moderate-it is all based on one's interpretation but I believe the bottom line is it is noticeable and treatment needs to initiated and just keep focused on that. I know hearing your son is severely deformed doesn't make you feel much better-but once treatment is complete that wont be the case anymore so you are doing great! ( months is still a great time to start you have growth and will see correction- don't kick yourself for that so many other moms have started later and still got great results so just move as quickly as you can now. As far as the tort- I don't know why he neuro didn't pick up on it-but CT did and that is wonderful so now you can begin treatment for that and that will make a great difference as well. Contact your ped ASAP and get a referral but make sure you get a therapist that works with peds and is familiar with tort and plagio- don't be embarassed to ask. I don't know if CT can give you a rec in this area or not. Maybe you also want to contact early intervention who could come do PT at home with you-what a break that would be. Here are links join tort kids they will be a great support and so informative I am sure can chime in as well and really provide you guidance in this area. Health care is so frustrating but keep doing what you are doing-you are a great Mom so keep up the good work. in regard to insurance fight for whatever you can in my opinion-what can it hurt????
