Guest guest
Dear Forum Members, I have come across various web sites (Specially Ayurveda related), which claim that they have a medicine, which can treat HIV/AIDS presented at Ayurvedalaya.com May I request you all if you are aware of such treatment, if yes ? How genuine is the medicine? I have been on treatment (HAART) for some time now, it is not the pain of being +ve, which is haunting me every movement but it is the number of tablets that I have to take every day (upto 12 tablets). Day by day it is becoming very difficult for me to take them on schedule, more over there are lot of other side effects like lipodistrophy, abnormal liver enzyme levels etc. After considering all the above factors I am contemplating to shift to alternative medicine namely Chinese herbs or Ayurveda. Can any of the you doctor's kindly advice me ! any help or information provided will go a long way in saving an individual life. HERBVERA - there has been an article recently on the internet about labs, that they have formulated a new therapy, a combination of UNANI and AYURVEDA which absolutely have no side effect(drug name is herbvera-you can check the details at veronicalabs.com) and is proving to be very very effective in fighting HIV virus, can any of you fine ladies and gentle men, comment about this drugs and where can I obtain this medicine via internet or doctor or medical agency. (pls provide me the contact numbers if possible) I am sure you people can understand and feel my pain and agony, kindly help me or provide me or advise me with the required information, so that I can live my life in a better and simple way. Eagerly waiting for your response, kindly respond. Thank You Sunny E-mail: <trust_my_god@...>
Guest guest
Dear Sunny I hope at some point, what we call alternative therapy, would introduce some robust medications into the market for HIV having gone through gruelling clinical trials and backed with longitudinal data. I believe there are some potential medications. If alternative medicine had as many resources measuring trillions of dollars for research I should think it could stand any test. I know some people swear by alternative therapy and others swear off it, calling it absolute bogus. Either way, it might be worthwhile to spend some time looking into what's out there and educating yourself about what it has to offer and whether you want to use it as complimentary therapy (using it with ART) or as alternative therapy (replacing ART with alternative medicine). This is one site which has info on alternative therapy - www.daair.org For known fraudulent treatments and news you can go to: http://www.tahfin.org/ I also have a small booklet which contains information on treament fraud, what you need to be aware of and what products are potentially fatal. The booklet is called " Too Good To be True. " There might be something like that available in India. If not, please email me and I could put it in the mail for you (you could give any address where they will be able to hold this and you feel safe) Also, I work in a study that is trying to figure out how to best promote adherence to ART. If you decide to stay on ART, some of this information might be useful to you. We have some tools, brochures, methods to work out a good schedule, nutritional support, as well as effective ways to manage side-effects.
