Guest guest
Oh how scary!! I can only imagine how scared you were. I am glad to hear Lauryn is ok. THings happen and no matter how careful you are things just happen. YOu are not a bad mom! THere is no way a bad mom could care so deeply about her child. I can see that in your post which brought tears to my eyes because I know exactly how you feel when you describe how deeply you love her and couldnt imagine living without her. A bad mom could not possibly write such a heartfelt post. You did everything you could to make sure she was taken care of. WE are parents not superheros and there will be times that things happen that we wished we hadve done something different. But God is watching over you and Lauryn and no matter what you do or dont do He is always taking care of her. Glad to hear you both have recovered (Lauryn from choking and you from hysterics) Take Care Christi mom to MYA > Lauryn was choking and I couldn't figure out why. Guest guest
I am so glad she is okay. I am terrified that this will happen to us. My daughter is two and is not accustomed to being cautious with leaving things around. Thank God she is okay. I can't imagine how terrified you were. What is the age difference between your kids? Guest guest
OMG : I am SO happy things turned out ok. My gosh, I bet you're completely freaked out about this. But do NOT blame yourself! It's so hard to keep everything off the floor, especially with 2 kids - you can't be everywhere at once. You're hardly a bad mom. I know how you feel though, a few mos ago while I was showering Abby opened a closet door & found a bottle of bleach that the cap wasn't screwed on all the way. When I got out of the shower, she was covered in bleach as well as my house. Thank God she didn't drink any and was ok. But I blamed myself for that and still do even though it just happened. Cheer up, all is well & Lauryn is just fine! Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Lauryn was choking and I couldn't figure out why. Guest guest
, How scary for you! I am so glad to hear that everyone is ok! You are by no means a bad mommy, you did the right thing! I know that gut wrenching feeling you had while your dauhgter was choking. A few weeks back while I was upstairs with one of my kids, my oldest son gave Danny a whole roll of Life Savers. I ran downstairs as soon as I heard Danny choking and gave him the baby heimlich. He threw up 6 pieces of candy. He has long since forgotten it, but that awful experience is forever etched in my brain, as I'm sure yours is too. I'm just so grateful that I had taken a CPR and First Aid course, so I knew what to do and I was able to remain calm. I highly reccommend them to all parents! Lauryn sure is a lucky little girl to have such a quick mom who knew exactly what to do! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAr grads) Phila., PA > Lauryn was choking and I couldn't figure out why.
