Guest guest
Today's newspaper says - they have been admitted in the school - but no one plays with them, they sit alone on a bench for five students - and many parents are withdrawing their children from this school. Just shows us that discrimination, stigma and 'acceptance' has an underbelly! 'Acceptance' (sometimes people use the word tolerance) is at best only the first step towards addressing stigma and discrimination. What next? Will the Govt take 'sensitisation' more seriously? Will the CM of Kerala (or anyone similarly revered) send his children - if they are young enough - to play with the children in question? Any Ideas, suggestions ? regards Mona E-mail: <plife@...>
