Guest guest
my son has severe plagiocephaly and is now 6 months old after months of upset trying to find somewhere in the uk to treat my son we went to bristol to have a casting done we have just come back from getting the hat from their technician and i am very dissapointed and upset the hat is nothing like the doc bands i have seen on the internet but it is a cruedly made perspex cap that covers the whole head with lots of holes in for ventilation i could have cried when he lays down the hat cuts into the back of his ears and it is very tacky looking really what i am asking is that has there been anyone in the uk that has been treated at bristol and was it succesful for their child because i dont want to keep travelling 400 miles round trip every time. Also can any one tell me if they know of dr blechers teratment of plagio that comes to londons king college hospital and would we be better going to see him i would be grateful for any advice LAURA
Guest guest
I am sorry you are so upset- I would definitely call the ortho about the ears maybe they need to be shaved down a bit so they don't cut into his ears. It gets easier as you adjust if youlook in the files folder at picture there are other helmets just like the one you described-it is not uncommon. Also take a look at this link-conner at the bottom has the same type of helmet as well. I hope another UK Mom responds-hang in there. Keep us posted! Beck Mom to Click here: Let's Decorate!
