Hi mjh,

I know that all the B vitamins are cofactors of each other and need

each other to work, and I forgot to mention that in the other post.

I still haven't remembered to re-start taking MSM, though I have it

here at the ready.

I do the best I can with the magnesium and fish oil, at this point. I

have had lifelong problems with alternating constipation and

diarrhea, so I'm hoping that as this evens out with my improving gut,

I can up the Mg and fish oil if needed. So far, so good. But you

read my list and please be the judge.

Here's my current list if anyone is interested:

D3 4000 IU (tablet) per day, in divided doses and with food

Fish oil (gel cap) 1 g 3x day

Milk of magnesia (liquid) 1/2 tsp 3-4x per day (for Mg)

B1 (tablet) 250 mg 2-3x day

B6 (tablet) 100 mg 2-3x day

Niacin (capsule) 250 mg 2-3x per day (timed release, not flush free)

Pantothenic acid (capsule) 250 2-3x per day

B12 (enteric coated tablet) 5000 mcg once per day

Super B complex (caplet) 2x per day (caplet)

An occasional (every other day?) dropper full of liquid B complex (I

think I absorb liquid better, but this has fewer Bs than the caplet)

An " over 50 " multi (caplet)

Vitamin C (half tablets), small amounts (500 mg) 2x or more per day

(sensitive guts)

L-Tryptophan (caplet) 500 mg (when I remember it, which isn't often)

before the melatonin at night

Melatonin (tablet) 600 mcg (usually followed in 1 hour by 50 mg

diphenhydramine, capsules)

Plain yogurt, at least 2 cups per day, usually 3 cups (first and last

pile of pills)

Licorice root for adrenals when needed

Essential oil of oregano with virgin olive oil (1:9) 3-4x or more per

day (antifungal), a daily ritual

officinalis tincture 3-4x or more per day (anti-herpes), a

daily ritual

I started SAM-e about six weeks ago. I'm now up to 800 mg per day in

2 doses of 400 mg each, one before 12 noon, the other before 3 pm,

both on an empty stomach, a daily ritual. The SAM-e plus the

melatonin at night are what help me sleep straight-through (I think)

and feel more rested and alert ( " snap, zing " ) for functioning. I'm

very happy to have started the SAM-e and think it has made the real

difference for me in the sleep department.

I'm one of the people who get every single virus and flu that comes

down the pipe. When I feel another cold or virus coming on, I start

2 capsules of echinacea root (500 mg) 2x per day, which so far is

helping enormously. Haven't gotten a flu yet, this season, to report

on it.
