Guest guest
Denisha Well glad to hear Summer has her band. I was really concerned about Myas band sitting too low as well. It sits right on top of her eyebrows and when she moves certain ways it makes her nose scrunch all up. And so I asked about that and they told me that her forehead sticks out further then it should so it needs to be that way. Mya has never had trouble sleeping in it though. SHe has slept just fine. And it never seemed to bother her that it sits so low. Im the one that it bothered. Anyway good luck with everything. Im sorry I dont have anything to offer in the insurance department. I am still trying to figure out my appeal for Tricare. Christi mom to Mya (DOC band 3/6/02) > Hello, it's been a rough 2 days and I'm glad it's over. Summer seems > to be adjusting to her band well. Guest guest
I'm glad to hear that. Summer's nose crinkles and it pushes one eye down. I think the reason it bothers her sleeping is because she would pull her hair when going to sleep and now it's covered. Good luck with your insurance. I got really lucky-our insurance was not going to pay and I called-spoke with the claims lady and she called back later that day and said I touched her heart and she researched more and they would pay. I was so glad but it still ticks me off because I shouldn't have to " touch her heart " to make them pay! -- In Plagiocephaly@y..., " CMZ1242 " <cmz1242@y...> wrote: > Denisha > Well glad to hear Summer has her band. Guest guest
Hey Denisha: I'm glad to hear Summer has adjusted just fine to wearing her band. Most new bands do seem to come down rather low into the eyebrows, it's normal. They leave them that low so they won't outgrow the band too fast. But if you feel it is coming down too low, then you might want to mention it to your orthotist & a trim might be needed. You said your ins. paid for Summer's band? That's terrific! It's so nice of you to be helping this other family who you met. I hope they can resolve their ins. battle as well. Keep us updated! Guest guest
Hi Denisha, I'm glad to hear that Summer seems to be adjusting well to her band. It really is amazing how resilient these kids are! While its true that bands are initially made to fit a bit loose, if its coming below her eyebrows or seems to interfere with her vision at all, then you should go back to your ortho so that they can trim it a bit for you, and that should do the trick! I hope someone gets back to you about the insurance info. How wonderful that you are helping out another family. Good luck!
