I'm kind of new to the band too. 's had his on for a couple of weeks, but when we went back for the one week check and adjustment, I asked my orthotist about how low his band should rest in the front. His sometimes went below his eyebrows. She said that it should rest right at the eyebrows, but not below, and did shave some off the front for us. It's so much better now. When he's crawling around, he still has a little trouble seeing up above him, but he really hasn't complained about the band much at all. It's me that still hasn't adjusted. I miss his little head snuggled up against me, know what I mean? Best of luck with your new band.

Summer got her band today!Hello, it's been a rough 2 days and I'm glad it's over. Summer seems to be adjusting to her band well. She has trouble when going to sleep. The band comes all the way down to her eyebrows. It seems too low. I'd like to hear if anyone else was concerned about that. Also, we had problems with our insurance (UnitedHealth Care) and someone gave me a name of a lawyer who helped them. Ours has paid but we met someone at the airport who has a son with plagio and insurance won't pay-if you could resend that info I'd love to pass it on to them. We had this problem at first also, and CT shaved some of the outer off

(actually reshaped the front) so that it would not come so low. It would

still move down and squish his skin like a sharpei puppy, but they said to

just move it back while still on and eventually he grew enough into it that

it was not an issue again. Good luck!

Glad to hear that Summer is adjusting so well. It's also good to hear that

UHC paid for the band - that's great!

The band should come right to the eyebrows, but if it comes down over her

eyebrows or eyes you may need an adjustment. The band should fit somewhat

loosely for the first week or so, but will tighten up over the first couple

of weeks.
